Steph
http://www.ebay.com/itm/161739004342 LOTS of interesting pictures there. I can't pick just one. Check out some of the wear, and the marble half.
bumblebee
Perplexing. Seems like several plain and primitive clearie types in this lot (maybe 5/8" each?)--do we see those elsewhere? Who would trouble to make those today and then age them down? How come he has one very similar to the other seller's that looks in mint condition? How did it survive if it was owned for decades by the same folks who battered the others? This seller is 90 minutes away from the seller http://www.ebay.com/usr/supermarbleswhich doesn't necessarily mean anything. Bulgaria, land of mystery and mystery marbles. Steph
And an ordinary, worn cat eye in there for good measure. And a strange brown ball with flat spots and dots?
winnie
It's a bit strange Steph, I've bought these about a year ago from Bulgaria, not from "Supermarbles"but from another seller. They all have damage. Well I don't know what to think about it.
disco005
Very curious. Seems like a lot of extra work and a lot of trouble. They are beautiful, but it's seems so wrong.
bumblebee
Did anyone by chance save photos of the damaged Bulgarian marbles from the auction? I could have sworn I had them somewhere.
Steph
If I have them, they're on my last computer ... which I haven't hooked up since moving to this "new" house three years ago.
Nantucketdink
People go that extra mile sometimes. I can't see the original auction but have no doubt there is somebody somewhere putting fake playwear on new marbles
