akronmarbles
The marble machine metal castings have a slot and void built into them. I was cleaning out the slot and this popped out...a mens buckle along with a bunch of glass pieces. What Pelts would these be? Anyone recognize the buckle, age, etc? ManofKent
You could have found a buckle with an easier brand name to search for The buckle looks 50's to me but I'm no expert and I think the company was in existence from 30's to 70's. A belt buckle collectors site might help (yes there are odd people who collect strange things such as belt buckles rather than sensible things like marbles...). I'llhavethat1
Nice find, wonder how the buckle ended up in there? Does it say "pat app for" of the left (kind of shaded) I'd guess older than 50's on the buckle and agree the pieces look like the glass you'd see in a Rainbo. akronmarbles
It does say "patent applied for". I imagine it just fell into the crack when someone was working on the machine. I wish I had a parts washer - there is so much grease and oil with the glass bits - solvent is the only way to see what is in my bowl of goop. I also found a small chain link. Probably part of a glass feeder device.
kbobam
Even though I don't know what I'm talking about half the time when it comes to marbles, this is really interesting and fun stuff! Thanks for telling us about it! ( :
