dannyboy
Posted this one a while ago. I have had it since the early '90's. 1" in size. What do ya think? thanks
I'llhavethat1
Millefiori has been made for a LONG time so hard to say. I think it's pretty neat. Is the base glass translucent?
Marbleized
Nice! The patterns feign the reflection of light fixtures, looking at the photos. Must be even more awesome in real life!
Steph
Yeah, I don't know. I wonder if one of our contemporary collectors might recognize it as an early contemp ... or might recognize it as a much earlier handmade.@Alan, does it ring bells with you? dannyboy
It's opaque. Looks like it has a pontil mark, bottom row, middle pic. thanks

I'llhavethat1
Hey Steph, no worries, just getting to this now and I'm a bit confused where you thought I might have been slighted? Alan probably knows a lot more about these than I do, so it's a good thing you tagged him. It's a community and if we can all help each other out that's a positive thing, right? akronmarbles
It is from India - the glass canes are typical of Indian made products from that time period.
dannyboy
Thanks, Brian. Nice to hear from you. What is that time period? thanks, DanS
akronmarbles
No prob Dan....Could be 80's or 90's - they are still making glass that looks similar to this. Their skill set has just about caught up with the Italians on cane making.
Alan
Modern, torch work. It looks like someone's early playing on the torch experiment. Its not Effetre Millefiori. The Millefiori placement is a bit haphazard based on the pick-up and rounding. Looks like it got a little warmer than they hoped.
