Ric
It's sorta got that American Agate look.
Fire1981
Thanks Ric ! The red and white swirls are very defined on American Agates. They don't really get sloppy. I have a few more of these and they are all red and white. Are there others that are blue, green, purple or any other colors ?
Ric
As far as I know American Agates only come in red.

Berryb
With the brown stripe doesn't that make it a "bloodie" ? Thanks Bruce
Fire1981
A Bloody is the name of a Pelt Rainbo.
akroorka
Hey Fire, The term "bloodie" or "blood" has been applied to CAC marbles and is a part of many nicknames for a variety of makers. Not a Pelt exclusive term what-so-ever my friend. Your original post here does look like a hand-gathered marble and it does look red on my monitor. I would lean towards MFC vs CAC on this one, maybe a little bit harder towards Japanese. Marble--On!!

akroorka
You are right on Ric, My bad. My "MFC" is getting rather late in the night--lol Thanks for the correction, as always. Marble--On!!🌼
Fire1981
I have a few more I’ll dig out and post some pics of those.
Berryb
In Block's 5th edition, page 75 (CAC starts on pg. 71) ...".Bloodies, which is the name used by the company, are an opaque white base with transparent red and translucent brown swirls. ..... American Agates, again the name used by the company, are an opaque white to opalecent white base with a swirl that ranges from translucent electric red to transparent electric orange." Note the spelling of "Bloodies" as opposed to "Bloodys". This is my only source, it may be wrong, but seems generally to be pretty close to the mark. thanks Bruce

Akro75
I’m leaning X2 on CAC bloodie, but can see Japanese trans…as well imho..
jhomer2172
Idk, it just doesn’t feel like a CAC, and the red and esp the brown are usually darker on a bloodie. ( see marblealan pics) I’m leaning trans Japanese.
Ric
Bloodies are a source of debate but I do not think most people would consider this marble a Bloody. Where is the transparent red glass?
