Fuzzy Chubbs
A small group of pretty slags I'd appreciate some assistance identifying! TYIA 😁Light-Blue 15mm (Marble #1) My guess is Peltier on this one Amber 15mm (Marble #2) My guess is Peltier or Akro on this one Peltier because of the feathering Akro because of the seam I'm curious how others would call this base color, I'm stuck between brown/amber Dark-Red 16mm (Marble #3) My guess is Peltier or CAC Peltier because of the feathering CAC because of the possible diaper fold in 3rd pic (left column, 2nd row) (Disclaimer: I still don't fully grasp diaper folds) Light-Blue 14mm (Marble #4) Don't have a good guess for this one, but it's a pleaser! The blue in this marble is noticeably lighter than the other two light-blue marbles in this group Light-Blue 15mm (Marble #5) My guess is Peltier again
Fire1981
Whoa Snap ! 5 is the only one that isn’t a Pelt. I would say that’s an Akro. Being a Pelthead your slags are killer🔥
Fuzzy Chubbs
@Fire1981 Thanks for the input, glad you like em! I stumbled across your recent post looking for pelt slags in a search tonight so I'm happy you saw these! Pelt slags really are great, their feathering patterns are so delicate but defined! A bit easier to differentiate from other slags for a newbie like me haha Curious what makes you think #5 is not a pelt and an Akro instead. I imagine it's something to do with the seams, they are noticably closer than the others.
Fire1981
That slag. If you look at the top left pic you will see a 9 pattern if you rotate the marble 180 degrees to the right. That 9 separates this slag from being a Pelt. I’m sticking with Akro on that one. Actually rotate it to the left 180 degrees.
Fire1981
OK ! If it spins like a 6 it’s a Pelt. If it spins like a 9 it’s not a Pelt. Somebody HELP me here. The base glass on this one looks Pelt to me.
Tommy
I was thinking akro on the same one as you 🔥 Great bunch of feathered pelts...💥
Chad G.
I see 5 marbles with # 4 being Akro, the only one that isn't a Pelt.

Great Images Fuzzy Chubbs, I agree with Chad. I will add though that not all Peltier slags show "feathering". Most do not and are as hard to ID as any Slag may be. Pelts with the feathering aspect to them are an easy ID and therefore more collectable---and beautiful as well---respect! Marble--On!!
Fuzzy Chubbs
Appreciate everyone's input!! Some great info to log for later; direction of the 6/9 spin (Pelt vs Non-Pelt) and the fact that not all pelts contain feathering.
