What do ya think about this one ?

Ā

This is a great bunch of images----- under the sunlight??? Ā
I had to lower the lighting effect using my editorā€”not a usual thing here at this post site.
This is a nice marble.Ā
Image one shows me a ā€œtailā€ that is buried so I will sayā€”machine made and perhaps hand gathered machine made.
This is not an Akro or MFC imho.
More opinions are neededā€”Nice marble!!
Marbleā€”On!!

Thanks Al. No I got a bulb from the jewelry show...I'll take it out and post a pic . It seems to be doing well . And I just use my Samsung on pro setting šŸ¤ž most of the time I only have to take 20 pics to get 4or 5 worthy of the marble....

From what I gathered Barberton glass and Novelty produced machine made slags only for a couple years in the same area as MFC's factory.Ā

So was Barberton glass and Novelty the second machine made marble company after MFC. Newspaper article says until Barberton glass and Novelty opened MFC was the only factory of its kind in the country..

Interesting stuffĀ šŸ¤”

Just went back and checked my Barberton and yes it has a melted pontil - been away for a while so I forget - so I withdraw my Barberton suggestion. But the"cutline" on this one does resemble some I`ve seen that were handgathered and machine-rounded. But it`s obviously not MFC on the color alone. Maybe a very early Somebody Else. Akro? Hard to know.
