Wasp? .60 w/AV

Might be just my monitor, but it looks more orange than red - in which case it would be a Bengal Tiger. But if it`s more red in hand, then I think you have it.

(AV is very hard to shoot - you`re doing fine!)

Looks like a mixture of red and orange base (half & half) in which case you have a Wiger (half Tiger half Wasp) I just looked again & am almost positive that you have a Wiger. Most commonly found w/o av but do come w/ it, a very nice example, "killer" mib

A Wiger…love that. Sounds like maybe that one’s a keeper. It has a couple tiny chips but as I’ve read around here, maybe a good “placeholder”,lol. I’m slowly learning thanks to all you great folks.

One last question. Is it improper to measure a marble with decimals instead of fractions? I thought I read somewhere it was frowned upon. Just wondering since all I have is one of those slide measures. I guess I could try to harness my grade school math knowledge and attempt to figure out how to convert decimals back to fractions 🤦🏼‍♀️

Decimals are frowned upon by many, I don't mind one way or the other, here's a conversion table I use. After a while you get to learning them and won't need to consult it as often, oh and yeah those Wiger's are gettin  VHTF so it may be a while before ya fill that place w/ a better one,. especially w/ the HVY av yours appears to have IMO

Here's the  conversion table link for ya, I have it posted to ,my favs for quick reference.

Wow and wow and wow. Thanks Chad for all the great info. I guess I’ll put the Wiger in my “hope to be a real collector someday” cabinet.

You can also purchase a Westcott Circle template. That's extra fun because it's portable, you don't have to do any conversions if you are out and about and it's fun to put the marble on a non-slip surface and try different circles on it till you get the one that you want!   My new collector kids have a lot of fun putting it on different size marbles and trying to guess what size they'll be. They don't like calipers at all!  😃 They're about 8 bucks. It gives decimals and fractions.

Bengal Tiger is used naming Vacor or Marble King I believe ?

Thanks! I think I have one of those around here for using as a template when making miniature hat boxes. I do those for dollhouses, but just made the connection that a teeny tiny hat box would be the cutest little box for a marble, lol. So maybe I make marble boxes, not hat boxes 😏

I`m sure it probably is - just got out of the hospital (pneumonia) and am still a little zombie-like. Bengal, Siberian, Amur. And don`t know nuttin `bout no Vacor . . . only a tad more about MK . . .   :character-smileys-238:

I didn't know anything about Vacor either till earlier this year, I think Oregon Al posted this link here ? I can't remember and haven't had pneumonia ...   :character-smileys-238: .... if it wasn't on my favorites bar in front of my face I'd never remember it.

I was turned on too this link last year Lonnie M. (From the Midwest Marble Collectors Club). At least 250 different varieties of Vacor 👍
