Melissa
It’s an exciting morning today. I purchased this showy lady slipper two years ago and it bloomed for the first time this morning. Here is the progression over the past few weeks. 2

My wife and I were lucky enough to find some in bloom a few years back in a protected bog area. Very cool to see.

This plant was legally purchased from a licensed retailer and they were harvested legally.

Melissa
It’s already daylily season I guess. Very strange to be seeing these this early.

The fern leaf peonies are just starting to bud. I have about 30 different peonies in my yard, and probably the same amount of iris and daylily. I love my flowers. Beautiful !!!! Made some pictures myself also last week , love it ❤️ Enjoy 😃 2 1

akroorka
Ontario Smoke from the wild fires. This smoke is coming from the North-East of me--very weird, as it has been all year. These shots show what should be a cloudless--blue sky. I have had 1 1/2" of rain since the last snowfall---a long time. My well is taking a pounding. I collect rainwater for my gardens--not much so far---Uggggh. This is called gardening--not growing--I am doing my best this year. Garden on!!
Melissa
@akroorka beautiful yard! We are very behind on rain here as well. The smoke was dense here too in western Wisconsin. You could even smell the fires from Canada. Crazy. 1

Steph
So impressed. My neighbor is trying to get me interested in non-vegetable plants. She gave me a hosta. We'll see how it goes!

Are you all behind in rain too? It is so dry here. I’ve had to set out my sprinklers regularly.

The yard and planters are fully irrigated. Not sure about rainfall, I tend to ignore it.
