I agree with Jeff. I'm not sure there is a Marble King Chocolate Cow - I usually associate that name with Peltier.

Thank you Ric. I wasn't sure who made 'Cows' and it is really late here and my motivation lags as my brain gets sleepy. So I do have wasps?...no milking a wasp for me...LOL!!

Actually, there is Chocolate in Marble King which is very rare. The first and only one that I saw was in the late 1990's popped up whenever Jill Spencer was digging and selling MKs. Somebody asked about one and joking because new names were being made, I called it a 'Chocolate chip' and somebody snatched it up ASAP. I did not know if Jill found it and if I recall correctly, it was nice and shiny, unlike most of what she'd found.

I had not seen another for several years until about 2010 or so, when somebody dug some fresh near mint + Blended MKs. I picked up 3 of them. I wasn't completely sure the brown was positive and so, there were, also, some brown wasps I passed up that were being called MK Chocolate Cow. Well, except, I was looking for the blend first.

Having a hard time getting a good clean photo but Here's a Blended, 'Chocolate Chip' If you will, that also illustrates MK Choco Cow  (brown-colored Wasp) is out there too.

Thanks, Jeff. After I thought about it, I was questioning myself about an MK "Chocolate Cow". . .

I'll have to run a "Brown Wasp" by you to see what you think . . .

No, there is no aventurine in MK's Chocolate, Like, as if? ;)

Here's yet, another lousy photo of the side where no white lines are on it.

Thank you! Extra pics always help.  Still not sure where my marbles roll--towards C.Chips, MK Brown Cows or MK Brown Wasps; but that is half the fun! I think we can all be sure that it is Marble King....brown something.

When I got this one I knew something was different. I knew it was a Pelt but it just didn’t feel right. I posted it around 2002 and got a Chocolate Cow but obviously lighter then  Tigertree’s. I was asked if it was polished. I had no clue what that meant. Long story short. It was explained to me. So I got a jeweler’s loupe and could see the sharp edges on flea bites and molten pinprick.🔥

I just want to make sure I understand . . . Are you suggesting the reason your marble is so light is because it was polished? AFAIK, Peltier Chocolate Cows are NLRs so while the base might lighten up a bit with polishing, I wouldn't expect it to go as light as your marble. It has also been established that the OP is not a MK Chocolate Cow - it's a MK Wasp variant. So are you just talking about "chocolate" in a generic sense when you compare your Pelt to the OP Marble king?

I agree with Art - your marble just may be tough to categorize. I do not think it fits the Peltier Chocolate Cow definition, unless you really stretch.

No no, no. The base glass color stayed the same. I just wish the black ribbon pattern wasn't so polished down🔥

Actually, I remember your, chocolate milk thingy RAR, years ago. I think or Know, the first time I'd seen a Cow was in Bob Block's auction. So, think Bob may have coined the name. Regardless, it was his auction that made them popular. Directly after all different shades of 'Chocolate came out of the cracks. Some debates as to which one had red, brown, .or what?' I think that yours was more unique for Chocolate because it only hints a dab of brown mixing in milk..  Perhaps a one of a kind.

Hey everyone, some very good discussions on this subject. TT always remember with Marble king, until you get farther into the later runs that blend as they call it that you will always have the patch poles in opposite colors as the configuration goes from one color to the other color and so far until you get into the later runs that av even showed up till then. Av showed up in the later run MK "Dragonflies" and others. The first runs normal patch and ribbons were on a white opaque milk glass with the colored patch and ribbons. Yes, ii have some "Chocolate" examples. I myself consider the color chocolate the color of a Hershey chocolate bar. Everything after that either goes much darker into black or much lighter into the tan color. some really nice photo examples shown on this subject, well done everyone. My thoughts and input.  Chuck G---
