I don't know diddley about MK's. Is it Vintage because the ribbons meet at the seams? Or do I have it backward because the ribbons aren't offset at the seams? Something tells me it might be as common as a Bumble Bee or is it a little harder to find 🔥

I do think it's called a Blue Boy, and I think they were made sometime in the early 2000s but not entirely sure. They also did red/orange and white ones (maybe more) I have no idea if they are named or not.

Jill Spencer coined the tag, "Blue boy which is just about the same as this. However, there's some mud clouding the water. Although she dug hers up IDK, around 1999 there have been some just like these photos that have surfaced after 2005 or so which complicates things. But, yes it's a  Marble King 'Blue Boy' either way.

@Jeff54 Thanks, Jeff - I was thinking you'd probably have more detail about these. Do you recall how Jill's dug one might have differed from the modern ones. I seem to recall that a Blue Boy back in the day was more like what they call a Golden Boy today - but my knowledge and recall of MKs is obviously not as good as yours so, yeah, there is that. lol

Afraid U got me on that spot. Actually, although I paid attention to what Jill found and sold, I think I poo-poohed the whole name game thing whenever she had a few. Or typically, whenever something different turns up I'll sit back, wait for the fever to take a chill, and grab one or two as examples.  I have a pair  the same as the topic. But can't recall if from Jill or a random Ebay pick at the time I began seeing the emergence of those being questioned.

However when it comes down to differences and name games; the 'Golden Boy is distinctly different and I do not have it. But, as in Butt head a quick look across the net shows it.

A residing link to one by 'One Stop' (Ray Tetrick) Both the yellow and blue are different tints. yellow is brighter and stronger (Golden), and blue is a bit softero7W4LujNjLLzQqi5FkxT8LCpeGWBNdekZeP_P68w  vs the Blue boy, without good light, Blue Boy's yellow can appear near white.

Thanks, Jeff. I know what marble folks call a "Golden Boy" today. And since I want to make sure I understand . . . the "Blue Boys" that Jill dug were essentially identical to those that were looking at here?

Whelp, That's what or how I remember it back then. in fact, if I recall properly She had photos of her marbles on the net for a few years and I'd thought, as you can see with Ray's, if it did not say so, it looks opaque.

Pretty sure, the other in question 'Blue Boy' might have been whenever the name game was getting annoying to me.
