akroorka
Nice marble! Nice deep white! Could it be batch glass vs cullet? I have noticed in my backlighting experiences that even the transparent colors will show "Feathering". I cannot explain it but it is there for any that want to know and experiment. Not all have it, just a few imho. I just love a Pelt Red Slag! Marble—On!!
I'llhavethat1
Good example. What's the size?
et cetera
Nice Pelt for sure. There are some red Peltier Onyx slags that are a very particular type. These rarer types do not appear to have a completely transparent red base, and have heavy areas where light will not show through. Many times these exhibit brownish, tan or mahogany tones along with deep dense red. they have very heavy internal swirling that fills up most or all of the base glass. I've only found them in 9/16". Your photos possibly hint of this type.
