Revisiting this "Asian" Marble

Recommended Posts

I've not been able to accept the Asian identification I received on this marble. I just know I've never seen any seams like this on an Asian marble. So I found this post in another forum detailing pictures of kokomo marbles. And I believe i found the marble I have besides the green but i know they did use green.

I still agree with Al here.

This one is from a box of Imperials--the marbles were made by many different companies from many different countries--non from the USA.

I have attempted to turn a Jabo into an Akro Corkscrew a few times--I ended up wrong and educated as well.

There are no bad questions here at "TheMarbleConnection"

All opinions are appreciated on this one.

Marble--On!!

I have just never seen any Asian marbles with such a seam as the the way these ones are. These have that exact peltier type seam with the jagged little cut marks that kokomo is known to show on their marbles. I have a lot of imperial marbles and they all tend to have the somewhat pointy v shaped seams. Sometimes more u shaped but never as wide as the u is in those 2 mibs

Well I've had more than 1 agree on the kokomo group. This is not an Asian made marble. Show me an Asian made marble with these exact shaped seams. I've not seen one before. I'm definelty not a flat earther. I've actually picked up quite a bit of marble knowledge and I know that this is not an Asian. Possibly foreign but unlikely as someone just gave a definite id opinion and he knows kokomo marbles very well.  I agree the colors make your 1st thoughts jump to Asian however they are not the right tint imo.  But those seams and the shapes of them are not even close to any Asian marble ive ever seen. That right there eliminates Asian possibilities.  They may have those little jagged ✂️ lines but kokomo is known for that to be on a lot of their marbles.
