Well, my uncle likes them a whole lot. I told him I'll go half with him. There's different groups of these auctioned for anywhere from 175-399 but these are far the best looking. My top bid is 181 which beat a 179 bid if I win.

I would pay .50 each at the verry most. The majority of rainbo's I have were given to me or came as throw ins in lots. I literally have piles and boxes of them.

Especially backfilled, yes they originally came W all white based baseball types.

I rather the marbles, they looked great. I could get a custom made maple, cherry, walnut case with fabric in the holes for a fraction of that money.

Recent boxes in Block's Auctions, with the white based Rainbos, sold for under $200. So, the buyer/bidders must have thought having the backfilled prettier Rainbos made it worth more. Plus if there are a couple bidders who really wanted it....?
