Any way you approach it, the drones look like a total blast!

You mentioned a 'job site' of yours earlier.

As your attorney, I'll be disappointed in you if this necessary

business equipment isn't appropriately 'written-off'. ( :

What do you call the Noughties?

Just read this in an Irish article: "mid-Noughties". Found it aesthetically pleasing. I now officially call them the Noughties too.

Every time I put twenty bucks of gas into the tank, right about at 19.65 the numbers on the pump start looking like dates.

And even though that's when the pump slows down as it finishes, I'm always struck by how quickly those numbers go by. ( :

Hoping to hear an old joke from Darla soon.

Just flew in from Vegas! ....and boy are my arms tired!

But in this case it'll be because she's carrying two duffel bags full of silver dollars! :D

Never a dull moment here in the valley.

possum.jpg

Fritzy located this trapped Possum on our early morning walk.

A little more distance will help us all. We'll move this guy a ways down the lane.

i'm glad you relocated the possum. poor little opportunistic creatures. I can't believe the "don't-start-crossing-the-road" gene hasn't evolved itself out.

Glad you responded to this post. I'd temporarily lost track of it and had

wanted to ask Lloyd and/or other critter-knowledgeable people

what the 'deal' was with possums.

I think it was mentioned here once that 'fora' might be the proper snobby plural of 'forum'.

(I have no idea who the jerk was that mentioned it!)

Wonder if 'possa' might be okay. ( :

Long ago, when I lived in south Florida, we had a possum that used to come in the house through the cat door, trot through the living room, dining room, and kitchen, and settle down in front of the kibble bowl for a while. We didn't know this, however, until one night I was sitting up late -- it was about 3 am -- watching an old Sherlock Holms movie on TV, accompanied by one of our 3 cats. And the possum came in, trotted past both of us -- all of our hair immediately fluffed itself up -- and started crunching in the kitchen. Me and the cat both sat there frozen until he finished and trotted out. It was obviously routine for him. That was the last night the cat flap, as we called it, was ever operable.

I like possum - possi.

What? You didn't think that was super-cool? B)

I was going for a Latin subjective plural, but I looked into it a little further and it seems

like possum is American English derived from an Indian (Native American) word.

So the 'proper English' for the plural is 'more than one possum'! :P

Separate from my being silly, I really enjoyed the possum story.

Felt like I was actually there.

It must have been one of those mind-blowing moments you never forget. :)

I Googled crazy inventions from the 1920s looking for background shots and this came up.

It's some sort of enhanced hearing mechanism from the 40's, the title of the photo was "before radar 1940s"
