  1. I'm one of those collectors who had helmets in with the akro marbles for years. Then I moved them to vitro. I don't know about that marble. It doesn't look like my other helmets, but it doesn't look like any akro I have either. Edna
  2. It's the only opaque one I have. I didn't know they could be opaque until I read it on this board. Edna I've had it a long time and asked around at marble shows about it. Nobody has had a definitive answer. Edna
  3. Take a look at my blue, yellow, and white helmet again. Steph thinks it might be akro. What do you guys think? Edna
  4. I think I recognize that handwriting too. Good thing you checked the paper. Edna
  5. Thank you Kevin, for allowing me to be eccentric. LOL Edna
  6. Dani, those larger helmets sure are hard to find. I have a few, but don't want to sell any. Here are two of mine. This one measures .7125 My larger one: the red white and blue measures .8605 Edna
  7. Kevin, when I did the vitro thread before I only had 5 aquamarines. I've added some since. Compare your marble with these and decide if you have aquamarines or blue milk.
  8. Just to clarify a little, it wasn't a scooter on the 4th of July. It was a powerchair. Weldon stuck it out in the field. He got off to unstick it and someone came and asked to help. Weldon thanked them, but said no thank you. I have to be able to do this myself because it undoubtedly will happen again and you won't be there to do it for me. He got it out of the sand trap he had driven into, got back on, and rode away. Now that he has a scooter, he's been told the scooters are more likely to stick than the powerchairs. So, we'll live and learn. LOL He did have fun at the July 4th Festival. he disappeared from the tent and was gone a long time. Never happened before! He bought some stuff, found some of his friends, and just generally had fun. Lord help us at Sistersville. I may be totally deserted. I like the idea of the custom paint job. Wish it were the truth. Edna
  9. Not to beat a dead horse, but you will never see me write IMHO. If it's an opinion I'll write "I think" or "it might be", but never "IMHO". I do feel that we all express our opinions and no need to flag everything we say with that. Edna Sorry if I offend anyone with that opinion. LOL I do use "LOL" a lot.
  10. I found it. It's one of the ones in post # 25. It has two red ribbons. And the blue ribbon is very dark. Edna
  11. I forgot about that one. I'm gonna have to find that marble. I remember putting it aside to use it as an ID marble when I got a chance to go through mine. I got a wannabe in that same auction I think. Thanks for the reminder. Edna
  12. None of my 5/8th inch have two red ribbons, just one. So even though some of them have the buttermilk color, others of those have yellow or green, I don't think any of mine are buttermilks, but I was hoping. Edna
  13. If you have switched to Explorer 8, unless you click on the compatibility button at the top (it's under tools and also it looks like two pieces of paper that don't fit together on the top of your screen, right next to the refresh button) this website lets you insert your pics. BUT it doesn't put them where you want them. They all go at the top and it even splits the words you're posting. At Glass Addiction I couldn't even insert pics until I clicked the compatibility button. Weldon is enjoying your comments. Edna
  14. I was thinking that too, Carole. Maybe whatever it is happened on another board. Edna
  15. Well, we have a difference of opinion. And I don't know who is correct. Kevin, I think your marble is a buttermilk. Ron will see this and let us know. I will be glad to know myself. Edna
  16. The entire box is trilites. They are not all buttermilks. I think that 5 or 6 might be buttermilks. Hoping somebody can tell me. Some of them have a red ribbon and a blue ribbon and the buttermilk color on one end. But I've heard that they have to have 2 red ribbons and 1 blue. My big one has a red ribbon and another ribbon that is red and blue run together. There is another box of similar trilites in my old vitro thread. I've collected another box since that thread was posted. Edna
  17. For a while now, Weldon has been sitting in the car while the grandson and I do fun things. At marble shows he stays at the table and I get to have all the fun. Those days are over. Thursday we bought 2 items. Look out now! Weldon now owns a scooter and a lift that will carry it or a powerchair. the scooter is for outside shows like Sistersville and the powerchair is for hotel showrooms.
  18. I wish everyone would stop saying IMHO. It reminds me of ugly confrontations on the chat boards. I never use it. My opinion is just that... my opinion. It really sounds insincere anyway. Edna
  19. Buttermilk shooter - gift from Ron Shepherd, .83 inches some of the 5/8th inch in the box may be buttermilks.
  20. Steph, on the old thread...... Kevin Nails "out of the box" marble is showing up instead of my original pics. It's in a couple of places. Don't know how that happens. Edna
  21. IMHO is ridiculous to me. It's all our opinions. Edna
  22. http://marbleconnection.invisionzone.com/index.php?showtopic=8597 Here are the pics I did of my collection a while back. Don't know prices, it's been a while since I collected these. Edna
