  1. gorgeous marbles, Alan. I'm going to ask for a new camera for my birthday or Christmas. Your pics are great! I've got to learn to do better. Edna
  2. really nice marbles! Dani, I have them everywhere too. Cases that hang on the wall, cases made to look like the antique jeweler's case, boxes that sit on shelves. I really should listen to Weldon, but when I say that to Brett Young his reply is always "I don't think I like Weldon". I hope Hot House comes to Sistersville again this year, cause I want more. LOL
  3. On this top shelf are more Kevin O'Grady, Geoffrey Beetom, Filip Vogelpohl, Bruce Troeh, Josh Sable, Eugene Rain, Sabina Boehm, Dan Grumbling, and others. Most of the marbles on this shelf are Robert L. Hamon. A few are students of his that did marbles in his style. I also have an elephant scupture here and a vase or two. On this shelf are some Julia Powell, Kris Parke, Andrew Brown, Steve Willis, and others I can't ID because they are so tiny in my pic. In the back on Peltier candleholders are some Greg Hoglin. Also some Stephen Pope, Gateson Recko, and a lot of Calvin Sugita. There is Alloway on this shelf, K. O'Grady, George Pavilicek, Eddie Seese, Keenan Tiemayer, and others Some Joe Lovell, Ben Burton, Shipwrecked, David Salazar Boyd Miller, Ken Schneidereit, I'm doing something wrong, but I did get some of the shelves to appear a little larger. This is 5 of the 8 shelves. Edna
  4. Tried again, still don't get it. Sorry.
  5. Dani, thank you for posting pics of your contemps. I enjoyed looking at them. You inspired me to show some of mine. A few years ago I bought a cabinet with 8 shelves. I thought I could put all my contemps in it and have room left over for more purchases. I was quite dismayed to fill it immediately with no empty shelves left over. I have no room for more cabinets so my solution was to crowd them together. They are so close that many are hidden from view. Weldon's solution is "Stop buying". LOL Well, I haven't tried to post since the board changed and I find that I don't know how to post my pics. I need some help. Edna I went to the help section that Lou has posted and tried to follow the directions. I didn't get it right. Sorry, I can't add pics. I did get a thumbnail to post, but I want full size pics. Don't know how to do that.
  6. That's what i was referring to Kevin. They did exist. And I won't mention any names, but I do remember who it was. I disagreed privately. I stared at my Miller swirls for hours trying to figure out just how they were accidentally formed. But I had too many for them to be an accidental occurrence. I never stopped calling them Miller swirls and then I met Boyce Lundstrom and questioned him about the existence of the machine and he told me. Mike knows more about this than anyone other than dead people and Boyce. Edna
  7. Mike, thank you for posting all of this. I know that you know cause I know what Boyce found in that safe. I know some documentation does still exist and I think maybe you should tell a little more. I jumped for joy when he told me about the Miller machines (10 of them) and I wished he had joined in all of those posts that belittled all of us who talked about Miller machine and said they never existed and had other explanations for how those Miller swirls got formed. I never stopped calling our marbles Miller swirls and after we met Boyce I knew we were correct. Edna
  8. Craig, I said that because it's the way my Japanese sister in law speaks and the way my Vietnamese students spoke. Germans make different errors with English. But you could be right. And it could be an oriental in Germany. Doesn't matter, don't know why I shared that comment, sounds kind of ugly of me to notice. I wouldn't like to try German, or Japanese, or Vietnamese. I would be quite inept and whoever that person is was able to communicate and i would not be able to even make the attempt. Edna
  9. From my experience, the person you are communicating with is oriental. Edna
  10. Forgot to tell you that Sammy Hogue would have signed it also. Plus, Sammy usually did his own sulfide figures. The figure you show is purchased from California and I can't spell the name of the thing., Something like Heineken Renneker. Sorry for the spelling. Ray Laubs used those, but he also signs. Edna
  11. Andy Davis would sign it. Jim Davis would sign it. The Davis brothers would sign if they made any. If it is unsigned it is probably Charles Gibson. Edna
  12. Well I just posted that Dustin is number 66 and it didn't post. Second time that's happened to me today. Edna
  13. Leroy, I posted yesterday but it didn't post. That happens to me some. I had noticed the name of the post and ignored it because i don't know anybody named dirty dog. Curiosity got the best of me yesterday afternoon when Bo's post with the pics was the last one. I learned that i do know dirty dog. Checked back later and my post wasn't there. Hope you had a great birthday! Edna
  14. That signature could be JC or Jr. If none of us have seen the work of this artist, I would guess that's why we don't recognize it. I guess that could be an abbreviation for Junior. It's really a pretty marble. With no date accompanying the sig, that also makes it difficult. I thought the artists might recognize the style. Edna
  15. I just saw the Gerry Coleman's, Alan. You know I love those. Yours are prettier than mine. I'm envious!. Edna
  16. These fakes have been around a long time. I remember seeing them in the early 90's when we first started collecting marbles. Edna
  17. Thanks Bo! LOL i saw the marble the first day it was posted and I haven't a clue who made it. I thought some of the artists at Glass Addiction would know, but no one has responded. Sorry I can't help. Edna
  18. Post this marble over on Glass Addiction and I'll bet someone can help you. Edna
  19. Or I wish that herd were mine. LOL Edna
  20. I can hardly wait for my grandson to be old enough for his own cell phone. He will love that game. Edna
  21. Happy Birthday from Edna and Weldon! Wishing you many more as you're just a young pup. See you soon.
