  1. kewl marbles and neat bag yall I keep it simple.. if I can pick it up with my thumb and forefinger, I call it a LB (little bitty) if I cant, I call it a LBB (little bitty bitty) just my 2 cent summation
  2. Awesome bowl of Lightning strikes, thanx for sharing. you only see a group of marbles like that once in a blue moon (pun intended)
  3. I'd call that one "More Bling than a Ring" U dun gud
  4. LOL@Lou but really... before they re-shuffled the Lo-Fi Version and updated/upgraded, you were limited to 6 images per post. now that muitiple 2000 X 2000, million and a quarter byte, half acre of background (uncropped) images can be added per post, maybe they have a margin-humping limit to keep someone from dorking the margins with 8 or 10 pics in a row? (I know if I had the powa' that's how I'd rig it)
  5. gee thanks JVVmarbles, I just blowed out a retina
  6. Yeah, about the floats, what Chris said.

  8. as the thread starter, I think I should be getting a commission from the marble sales. I will accept marbles, gold bullion, or small farm animals in lieu of monetary payment. thanks

  10. I aint been this excited since the hogs ate my little brother. first off cane, single pontil, naked yellow latt with no twist (did I mention it was naked?) and a red latt-ah-see-know okay, okay, not runnin with the big dawgs and maybe they arent all that great looking, but purdy hard to find for a shoe string collector myself (did I mention it was a red latt?)
  11. ^^ He's the best Leroy got me hooked on polishing and has been a great mentor. unselfish and sharing his knowledge freely. thanks Leroy will consider gold bullion, small farm animals, or marbles in lieu of polishing fees
  12. IMHO, All prayers are answered, it's just that sometimes we don't like the answer. I'd bet my bottom dollar if Guy had a choice of staying where he is or coming back to this big blue marble we call earth, he would stay put. Quote Chris:"i loved his sense of humor best of all.... guy was truly a marble ambassador. he embodied everything that attracts us to this hobby, and which keeps us interested year after year. guy was a keeper for sure. i'm gonna miss him for a long, long time." ^ditto what she said thoughts and prayers to Denise and family whishin he could bounce me on his knee one more time
  13. Art makes a good point about marbles rolling around in the sand. Del's ship wreck marbles looked the pretty much the same. 100years+current+sand = haze However, given the "Mixed makers "and time factor(far from a 100 years), I would hazzard a guess that those have been in somebody's hobby rock polisher. I borrowed a rock polisher when I first started collecting and thought I'd give em a whorl and shine em up.. A couple of days later I had a dozen frosted peewee footballs. Steve's coulda been tumbled in a finer grit and kept their "roundness"?... just sayin' anyway, here's some Chezk marbles that have a slight haze on them.
  14. My Grand-daughter gave me this tin of choking hazards for Christmas last year. It contained some frosted cats kinda like what Steve is showing, except mine are 5/8". I am thinking modern MKs? and a non-frosted one
  15. Man oh man, I dont know a thumb nail browser from a thumb tack browser, but I do know oxblood when I see it, without having to re-add
