  1. As for a marble…3-ribbons. I enjoy looking at it at least once a week.
  2. My any-day best: a late 1700’s USA sword cane with a Meissen porcelain tau-handle. The shaft is tortoise shell wrapped. ( this is connected to Ron’s letter opener…🥴)
  3. We also have 3 parrots who are on continual watch, looking for invaders from the beach.
  4. they all fire up at a moments notice… then go back to sleep.
  5. This jogged my memory… in the 60’s we had the old steel sprinkler heads with threaded steel pipe. Not sure who thought it up, but we’d slide a firecracker down the pipe with the fuse coming out the sprinkler port. Slide in a marble, light the fuse, and you had a hand cannon!!! The other thing we did was take a bike wheel spoke, and reverse the nut so you had a small barrel. Load a few caps and some no.8 lead shot in it, then hold it over a candle. KABOOM!!! I never told my kids all the weird stuff we did as kids…
  6. 👍👍👍 The colors were saying Akro, I just didn’t listen🥴
  7. you can't receive messages?
  8. Akro colors, seem to remember being told it was a double ingot. Upon closer inspection, there is no “seam” around the entire marble, just half of it.
  9. And paperweights…the old handcarts belong to the wife.
  10. Always looking for finials, hatpins, the eagle-claw table feet. Anything round made of glass…
  11. The second one was a gift for helping someone go thru an inherited marble collection. Bought the cane online from a cane dealer afterwards.
  12. I have a second one, both are exactly what you describe.
  13. Very cool, but not practical for me. They don’t work on boxed wine🤣🤣🤣
  14. This is a Houze cigarette stand topper.
  15. i had to use a 750lumen light to get it to show. I was seeing spots for 15 minutes afterwards...
  16. Thanks for posting this! I have a “black/yellow” CAC I just backlit👍👍👍
  17. I sold a good portion 6 years ago thru Zaboo to cover vets costs for a loved one. No regrets, and buying to fill the void it left.
  18. Ok, today got consumed by work, a rarity for me. I will post pics tomorrow, but after Ron’s post, it will probably be a letdown🥴
