  1. I’ll just move it into the MK box every other week. Shared custody🤣
  2. Thanks Ric, can’t resist them. there was also this oxblood patch on a chocolate base. I don’t remember ever seeing a similar example.i
  3. I found the knobs at 2 different stores in Snohomish, WA. The razor came from Maltby Antiques, and the box came from TroyBeck antiques in Snohomish. TB is closing down at the end of the year, it will be a crazy sale.
  4. Thanks, Tommy. We haven’t been to the store where I found the marbles in 6+ years. We moved in 2017 to the Kitsap Peninsula. Cobweb antiques in Monroe, WA. They are downsizing after 50 years, lot of great buys.
  5. Todays score👍 Spent the day with my wife cruising antique stores! the box will hold ~150. I can’t resist an old inexpensive straight razor.
  6. Has there ever been a dig at the Vitro Anacortes plant? How about an address…
  7. It was most likely from Dani, years ago. I love dealing with her and Ernie, the salt of the earth.
  8. I admit serious jealousy for anyone who was blessed to dig the old plants. being in WA state, I was robbed of that opportunity😢😢😢
  9. I’ve got a similar example, will post tomorrow. I have no memory of where I got it from.
  10. Agreed. The cane does need to be rehomed with someone who can conserve it properly. I rescued it from a local antique store last Wednesday. Did some research and got it authenticated using pictures. as for the marble, no rehoming that beauty…❤️
  11. As for a marble…3-ribbons. I enjoy looking at it at least once a week.
  12. My any-day best: a late 1700’s USA sword cane with a Meissen porcelain tau-handle. The shaft is tortoise shell wrapped. ( this is connected to Ron’s letter opener…🥴)
  13. We also have 3 parrots who are on continual watch, looking for invaders from the beach.
  14. they all fire up at a moments notice… then go back to sleep.
  15. This jogged my memory… in the 60’s we had the old steel sprinkler heads with threaded steel pipe. Not sure who thought it up, but we’d slide a firecracker down the pipe with the fuse coming out the sprinkler port. Slide in a marble, light the fuse, and you had a hand cannon!!! The other thing we did was take a bike wheel spoke, and reverse the nut so you had a small barrel. Load a few caps and some no.8 lead shot in it, then hold it over a candle. KABOOM!!! I never told my kids all the weird stuff we did as kids…
  16. 👍👍👍 The colors were saying Akro, I just didn’t listen🥴
