  1. Nice, Art - odd indeed. It took me a good while to figure out these types when I first saw them. It takes a bit of imagination to see MK, and imagination is not one of my strong suits.
  2. These can be really tough ones. I just go with my first glance impression and I think I just got lucky.

Given the transparent red, I'd guess a very nice example from a JABO investor run.
  4. I'd say JABO too - probably an investor run. Your pics will be better if the shadows fall behind or to the side if the marble. The surface you are photographing is in the shadow.

Akro Limeade, to go with your Lemonades
  6. I was just going by memory and keying in on color - mainly the blue.
  7. This is a transitional marble - hand gathered and machine rounded - a creased pontil, perhaps Japanese.

    Same?

They all appear to be slags but not from the same manufacturer. This one is a Peltier Feathered Slag.

    Peltier Rainbo
  10. Does light pass through the marble? If not, my guess would be JABO.

    Any ideas.

This is not one I readily recognize. The orange peel is really prominent. Is there any transparency - will light pass through any of it?
  12. I think that is the case, Rick - some corked and some didn't but still MA.
  13. Yes, marketed as a Moss Agate, I think.
  14. Cat's Eyes - foreign to the US.
  15. That sort of structure is common on Alleys but is not uncommon on Ravenswoods.

    Champion?

It'd be a very strange one - maybe foreign?

    Champion?

Yes, we will need more than one view, and be sure to show any seams or ribbon ends.
  18. Yeah, it's a pretty nice Vitro.
  19. Nice Alley Blue Sky and Vitro - the elephant's pretty great too!
  20. I have not heard them called that before, William. The hand seems pretty svelte for a beggar. Where did you hear that name? It seems like it might have been adapted from the Portieux or Vallerysthal "paupers" or "beggars hand" vases, which look a lot more like a beggar's hand, at least to me.
  21. The marble is out of focus so it's hard to see but it looks like a big melted bubble pop to me - more like a crater than a hole.
