  1. I was just poking around and found this pic . . . interesting? http://www.gaiser.org/vitro/ All the marbles are the same - except the upper left one . . . hmmmm.
  2. Elite Tri-Lites . . . Also, I finally went through the thread and repaired the photo links in my earlier posts since they were all broken. 🙂
  3. I have no idea why the upper left one would be called an Exotic - looks like a Tiger Eye to me - maybe the base glass isn't clear transparent? It seems like there has to be more to the Exotic name than the fact that there are striations (incomplete coverage) in the white equatorial ribbons. The bottom one appears to have colored base glass - maybe that's it?

    Tiger Eye

And patch and ribbon would describe the majority of Vitro marbles, some of which have names like, Black Line All Reds, Tiger Eyes, Yellow Jackets, etc., and there are probably hundreds of P&R color combos that don't fall into a named category- they're just P&Rs.

    Tiger Eye

In general, Tiger Eyes have a clear transparent base, except Type 4, which have an opaque white base, two different colored polar patches and two (seam-to-seam) white equatorial ribbons.
  6. Or maybe another Type 3 Tiger Eye?
  7. I think this one is a Type 3 Tiger Eye - transparent base, two different colored polar patches, and two white equatorial ribbons.
  8. Nice collection, Art. They do have the MM Tiger Eye color combo - remind me a bit of Bogard's "Halloween" Cat's too.
  9. I don't think it's a Santa Claus. They have six distinct ribbons - 4 white and 2 red. Here is one to compare . . .
  10. Nice, Moonie-esque, marble, Art!
  11. I agree, Steph, "lumping" seems far more common than "splitting" though.
  12. Thanks for the input - I thought it was unusually large at 59/64".
  13. IMO, it's an extra nice example with that darker yellow color. No specific name that I know of - maybe should be called an Alley Oops. 😁
  14. Ravenswoods are my favorites - simple, understated, beauty.
  15. Several HG slags for today . . .
  16. I've always liked Tomatoes with eggs . . .
