  1. I wouldn't know a "King Marble" if it bit me in the rear. The ones you posted look like Vacors to me. Please clue me in!
  2. I think Vitro, Vitro or Marble King, Marble King, Marble King

That's a very nice white for St. Mary's. I don't think I've seen it before. Is the base glass translucent?
  4. I am happy to report that I apparently was given incorrect information and that George is still with us.
  5. I should have been more specific, they are 9/16" - smaller than most.
  6. I'm getting down to unlabeled bags . . . all I know is they were together. Any thoughts about their origin will be appreciated 🙂
  7. That's a cool one, Art. Is that base glass a little pinkish or is it just me?
  8. Another from Jake's stash . . .
  9. Just a little group of undersized corkscrews soon to be re-homed . . .
  10. I'm not positive but I think this one may be a Rainbo - the base is not what i would normally expect in an NLR. AFAIK Christmas Trees usually have six ribbons and I don't think there is enough red on this marble to even qualify as a "burnt" one - still a cool marble though.
  11. Some nice Holly Berries in the group and I'm intrigued by the green on dull white ones, Art. Do any of them glow under UV? As for the Tiger, it sure looks like it experienced some sort of thermal shock but if it was intentional, I think it would be even more "crackled".

Hmmm, I don't think it's CAC, Joe. I'd guess Alley, but I'm having a hard time wrapping my head around the structure - it almost looks like it could be a deformed Akro.
  13. Yes, a very nice find! I'd like to see more of the marble third from the left.
  14. Thanks, Chad, it's a very cool old logo.
  15. It's not, Art, but it's kind of surprising how much it looks like it could be. 🙂
  16. @akronmarbles Thanks a lot, Brian, it's good to see you here. Your confirmation means a lot to me. And thanks for showing us some more examples!
  17. I'm fairly confident this 1 13/16" lined crockery is from the Standard Toy Marble Company but would like to hear if anyone has other ideas. The little three color is 5/8" and probably German. Any thoughts will be appreciated - more examples of Standard Toy marbles would also be great!
  18. I've seen similar and I don't think it too uncommon so I wouldn't be too surprised if you find more.

    2 5/8 WVS

Did you check that second one for UV reactivity?
  20. He probably thinks you're getting ready to eat his food.
  21. LOL, it's true, Jeff, I haven't seen many marbles with multicolor drool.
  22. I agree with three Vitro TriLites and am leaning Akro for the left one, but I'd want to see the opposite seam before committing since I can't rule out Vitro from this view.
  23. I think that ribbon in the second pic is actually two ribbons that came together from opposite sides of the seams.
  24. Nice TriLite.
