I really like the 360 degree coverage on this Sunburst . . .

A few from the collection with the Master Marble box . . . . The largest is 3/4" and the rest are 11/16". The glow surprised me. Sorry the pic is not the greatest.

Does it look veneered over clear or more like solid translucent?

This is a very nice marble, Melissa - first time I've heard the name. Is it opaque?

Given the context, I'm guessing that last one is a weak Vacor Sunset.

Here is a Master Marble Co. Box (No. 500?) that I recently acquired. I think this particular box is VHTF, maybe even rare - my best wild find in a very long time. It's 6 5/8" x 7 1/4" and contains 52 Meteor marbles: 6 No. 5, 6 No. 2 and 40 players (No. 0) . It also includes a hand-painted buckskin bag. A local woman found it in a trunk with other toys from her recently deceased Grandfather's childhood. I purchased it and about 1/2 gallon of loose marbles from her. Of course, she had no idea what she had and was planning to donate the lot to a local church for a rummage sale. Let's just say I made her (and the church) very happy. 🙂

Cool marble, sort of half Dragonfly and half MCR, IMO - pretty neat.

The white striping glass looks orange where it appears just below the red base glass.

I believe that is a nice Vitro Aquamarine - I've seen plenty with a similar "butt crack".

FWIW, I'm getting a Heaton vibe.

Nice examples, Stephen - don't see too many of them with positive IDs. These are the Mid-Atlantic marbles shown in Everett Grist's Big Book of Marbles (3rd ed.). I have another pin case or two around here somewhere. I'll post them a bit later if I can get to it.

Those that are not black-based are older vintage American marbles from what I can see. They are quite common types and nominally collectible, nothing jumps out at me as "special". And as for collectors, condition is usually very important, especially with common types like these.

Hmmm, Do they have a flat spot like a paperweight? They might be someone's practice pieces or they might be old, or both, I really don't know, but the cased one is pretty cool looking. I'm not really sure what you'd call them style-wise - sort of a "cloud", maybe?

I do think that may be an earlier JABO Classic

I need to think more about Vacor when I see these types.

The first is a Vitro Superior. The second is a Vitro Buttermilk. And the third is a Parrot, no matter it's size, a Baby Parrot if it's small. Both the Superior and the Buttermilk are TriLites.
