  1. You are really close with the MK "Boy Scouts", most folks call them Cub Scouts, since blue and yellow are the dominant colors of their uniforms, and the bit of orange on the one is not too unusual. Making making machine made marbles is not exactly a precision process and having a bit of extra color is not uncommon, especially with MK. The black/yellow/white ones look modern and foreign to me, maybe Mexican or Asian. I can't really see much of the green/yellow/black one - it might help if we could see the ends of the ribbons.
  2. Another beautiful set, David. I'd love to see a couple of close-ups of the pinched pontil on these.
  3. That's a pretty one, Chad! Would those be considered "English" colors?
  4. A lot of "pocket wear" but I have a hard time ignoring a good black on this type . . .
  5. I'll stick with JABO for all but #3 then and go with Alley on that one.
  6. I don't think so, Joe. I haven't seen any than can be positively attributed to Sistersville and I don't think any were found at the Pennsboro site either.
  7. JABO Megan's Memorial Run, 06/05/2011.
  8. Looks like there might be a whip-tail in the last photo.
  9. I am leaning slightly Ravenswood over Alley on the first one. The second looks like it might be an American Agate, and I think the third is Alley.

    5/8 WVS

I think Cairo is a good possibility.

Maybe an Alley from St. Mary's.
  12. It's giving me a foreign vibe, maybe Imperial.

    2 Patches

The first is definitely Kokomo. Not too sure about the second one.
  14. Looking at these again, I think that only the 3rd marble may NOT be JABO. What size is each of them?
  15. Neither Champion nor Ravenswood made 1" marbles (excluding Paul Bunyans, perhaps). I think they're probably all Alley but a bit less sure about the second one since JABO also made similar.
  16. Pelt names seem to be evolving but I think most folks would call it a Lemon Lime, some might call it a Girl Scout, and OG's might still refer to it as a John Deere. Wise people will pay more attention to the marble than the name. 🙂
  17. What size is the swirl? Which photos represent the colors most accurately - the first four or the last two?
  18. AFAIK, a pigtail is wholly submerged in the base glass. This would be a "snake", if it's Akro, which i am not sure about.
  19. I agree the size would be unusual for Champion but the Cat's Eyes don't look very MK to me, unless they are dug rejects, which is also a possibility I suppose. To me, they look more like Heaton's but I think the size would be unusual for Heaton too.
  20. The large red on yellow looks mostly like an Akro Corkscrew from these views. The other yellow-based ones and the lavender one are probably Alley, and I think the "tuqouise" one might be Alley too. The other two look like Ravenswoods, or maybe Alleys to me.
  21. I'm with Chad, as far as "bifurcated goes" - not quite there, IMO.
  22. Most or all of the marbles in your first pic are not Peltier. The second photo shows Rainbos - there are no Super Boys here as far as I can tell, although the upper right one (second pic) might be, it's hard to tell from a single partial view. As far as I can see, there aren't any "special" marbles here, just pretty common Peltiers and WV Swirls.
