  1. I took a bit more time on your board Edna dear, lol But only because of the time constraints we had due to our trip to the run. I'll make him another one someday if he is nice to me. lol I still have to get one out for Carole and Darla. I haven't forgotten about you too ladies, just takes me longer than I imagine sometimes lol But I will get those done soon. Matter of fact I have Carole's almost done just need to do the engraving and it will be ready for some stain. This Chinese checker board was the first and only one I have done and it actually turned out better than I had expected. Glad you like it Edna dear, God Bless!
  2. You couldn't have gotten Griff off that line with a stick of dynamite! lol
  3. Just for the record. I was a rookie at this run and I have no blisters from toching hot glass. lol Maybe someone else did? When it's hot, you can feel it all the way from the glass to your face. If someone actually did get burned at the run at all, I didn't see it. There were some great people down there and I think we all looked after each other to be safe. All I can say is, " What a spectacular bunch of people." I have never been anyplace in this world for just three days, and while leaving already have my heart acheing just to be back with them all. The "spirit" at this place, or substitute any word you like but I am partial to spirit, was absolutely "with out words". I'll never forget it as long as I live.
  4. Got home last night around 1 am, safe and sound although a bit sore, tired, and sad to leave all those great people down there. Had a few teary, till later on's, and so forth and made alot of lifetime friends. I am so thankful, grateful and proud of the people involved in this run. Truly a top notch bunch of folks. The crew, Dave, Ronny, Richard, John, and other's whose names I can not remember, (please pardon my wretched memory!) were wonderful, helpful and answered all my questions or pointed me to the people who could answer them. Those in the Marble Crew were also wonderful, helpful and didn't mind my sub novice marble knowledge and barrage of questions that come along with that. lol This experience was one that my wife and I will cherish forever. I whole hearted agree with Griff, but I hope that even death will not erase the feelings of warmth, love and friendship that surrounded and enveloped this run. I pray for a safe trip home for everyone, and may God bless Jabo, and all the hard working red blooded Americans that give their sweat and toil for all of us to have great marbles. God Bless you all, now I am off to bed!
  5. Very cool! Cat's eye's are hard for me to id and having them in the original packaging sure makes it alot easier! lol God Bless!!
  6. Wow Alan! Do they glow in blacklight? Those are beautiful! God Bless!!

  8. Truly terrific! Those pastel colors are astounding! Very very nice!!
  9. When my grandfather was a young boy growing up on a farm in Michigan, he sometimes made his own clay marbles as did many children in his circle of friends. Although none of the marbles I have from him have any designs on them like the ones above, it does make me curious. I wonder if any kid's that made their own marbles drew designs on them with what ever they might of had availible to them. Has anyone come across anything like that in their time as collectors? Just curious. God Bless!
  10. I am certainly not an expert on Akro boxes, nor would I ever claim to be. I also don't want to stir the pot on this mess. As for me, if the sale sounds or looks questionable, don't buy it. However, I do know a bit about graphics. And since you asked the question, I will give you an answer on what I do know. In todays computer age it is easy to produce faux, or fraudulent material. It would not take much for me to flip around an Akro logo and make it look original enough to pass as the real deal. This doesn't necessarily need to be a stamp, it could be something as simple as printing a blank graphic on paper, (insert colored paper here) and transfering that to a box. I suppose the lesson here is, buyer beware. Know what your getting before you pony up the money and have good relations with the seller. Hope that answers your question. God Bless!
  11. these are just gorgeous! I LOVE that clipper ship! wOWSErs! Very nice! Who made that one? And is the ship inside or etched on the surface? Keep them coming! Carpet balls welcome too! And lets see some big machine mades as well eh? I need more! lol God Bless!!
  12. Alan, that is some extremely awesome mibs!! What is the biggest, largest mib in your collection? God Bless!!
  13. Those are some sweet looking mibs! How big is the green one with the space station looking thingy inside of it? Thanks a ton for the pictures, it's starting to help ease my pain, but I can't help but want more! lol God Bless!!
  14. I am having a severe case of marble withdrawls! Post some pics of some big mibs to help ease my addiction! lol God Bless!!
  15. As an owner of one of your guinea's, they are just beautiful in hand. I also like how you signed the one I have as it doesn't affect the surface texture of the mib, which is hugely important to me. Are these signed the same way with the tiny button-like signiture inside the mib? They are awesome indeed and I wish you the best of luck on your sale! God Bless
  16. Isn't the old trick supposed to be steam? lol I would open it, but that's just me. My curiousity would outway any future price tag. Plus i would enjoy the heck out of it! lol God Bless!
  17. Someone please post some blue bee's please just for grins. I am novice enough not to know exactly what one looks like. lol Thank you guys/gals! God Bless!

  19. I'm fighting a cold, but I can post for a handful of Jabo's! Awesome Idea!! Count me in! God Bless!
  20. Wow that is really neat! Thanks for the pic! God Bless!
  21. My debit card is listed on my paypal account, and they deduct the money straight away from my bank account without any funds actually on the balance of the paypal account. This has worked splendid for me. I think Lou nailed it on the head though. If you don't have a credit card, or bank card (visa/mastercard debit, or check card) listed on your account, then it will take longer. God Bless!
  22. Since I have never seen one of these mibs, I think... I am pretty novice and don't mind asking questions about things like this. Could someone please post a pic of one of these please? For the new guy? hehe Thank you in advance! God Bless!!
  23. That is spectacular! Nice find dear! I'll have to add that to the list of ones to get. Right now I have my eye on some by a guy named Sturtz or something, lol Once I have those under my belt, I may just have to hunt for one of these. God Bless!
  24. All the love and prayers we can muster here in Michigan heading your way dear! We love you both!
