I saw that and ya done a damn fine job of sitt'n her ass straight too I might add. LOL How the hell are ya? my straight up brother. David
-
She didnt say that at all Duff. She implied some folks get a kick out of it and that is the reason they do it and the reason we shouldnt......................... David lill friday night libation?
-
Some good points were made. But yea ya turned it "nasty". not sucking nasty mind ya, but nasty all the same. David (better I hope) The bananna is implied! oh the damn thing wouldnt give me the F it gave symbols could have spaced the f off, but hell ur right got the same effect without it.

If'n ya dont like theirs why not do yur own. And Al's and Galens dont appear to be quite same topic. One is who do they think they are! the other "all members dont have knowledge" I dont know try something like this. Hey Texas Marble Club what up with the new hall of fame? Or maybe before ya take um to task contact TMC-whatup galen was not asking a damn question he was preparing a statement. (so make the statement without the roundabout) Al on the other hand (club bussiness) of course galen can ask his statement and of course the response is predictable. IMO David straight up its messy, but cleans up fast. from the post above its clear as a bell Texas will let us know when we need to know. and yet ya still care! apparently 8 or so folks passed out some awards. I'm with ya lets get to the bottom of this. My bad Galen, breaking news! alot of u folkses education and knowledge make my head hurt presumptous - American Marble Hall of fame? more so than yur inclusion? lol tit for tat IMO
-
sure but perspective. Its the Texas Marble Club. What, who or how they honor is their bussiness, what they call the award is their bussiness. Galens thread starting post was a set for post 6, hell he didnt get an answer to his supposed "question". more wishy washy shit. "makes a mockery" jfc You could always join the club and be in the loop. David

hear hear! David ask and yea shall recieve

Even in the blue parts which on first look seem okay, the lines never were crisp. Check your smaller simpler chinas round and straight they may be faded but origanally crisper. The "known" contemporary makers can do the straight and crisp but most I have seen have a crackling of the main body of white. And were made to "imitate" not fool. Except these! David

Damnitman. So far I have found that on the new run jabos in hand not near so scarry as by picture. On ebay - by picture we will be buying some marbles that dissappoint. I think in hand (most) will be discernable by glass characteristics. maybe David thanks for the heads up Winnie - hadnt even thought about foriegn and the foriegn swirl, which now as obviously pointed out simular to the jabo swirl pattern.
-
The circular lines are usually a good place to start. Chinas - perfect circular lines. The first and second pic notice the small waves in the black lines, third pic -black lines scarry good but look at the red lines, fourth same. but good as the black lines look one way remember pic 1 & 2 wiggly. Also for the paint to be in such good shape the roses are "fuzzy" no detail - this good of paint left, the flowers would be crisper as should the lines. David

I appreciate the amount of reflection you dedicated to this effort. No thank you David (the energy expended alone, deserved a bump)

Viper (Viper being snakelike). I think there is going to be a need for some manufacturer familys, regardless of whos run. I think -know- many marbles will cross runs, same machines, same/similar glass. this will be where the co llect ers come in yahahaha I have a lot of differant runs and if your going to name marbles there are many "familys" that deserve one here, but many or most(=51%+) cross runs. The makers may call it gertrude we may have to call it swirl. less gertrude's around Blood Viper = Oxblood Viper. Stephs marble BV, all marbomans BV, my joker oxblood series BV, the ones biblefreak posted - many BV's there appears to be another family or 2 (one marble I would have name Blood Vipers Nest - the marble), and another probably at this time called by some run sponsers "Cylones"(see post 25 for alternatives) represented in the ones he posted. Viper Nest(spagetti marble)the family, blood the variant. viper nest - good as wirepull. Are these all same run? I dont know theres a chance someone is going to take offense at a few people mess'n with the names. ya think but with such similar(I know yours was special)marbles in differant runs, we cant keep up with every name, ornor shued we haf ta. what? you could call it, run 38 viper, joker viper.............. many are swirls and run 32 swirl may have to be special enough. Its akin to naming each and every marble. damnitman we'll need birth certificates jus talking, i do get to name mine no wonder there is a name haters club! oh yea! ...........Well trying calling them all, that red marble. David A lot of similar marbles from the same place used to have the same name jus add a lill tag I like ornor, ..gonna stay with it. the gertrude thing...it aint.......ah, shit

Galen the "nice " ones or the "weak" ones like in my pics? found at german site David

Aal right I dont know a 9 vane cateye from a possums pe..er we talking about one of these? 9 vane MC thread http://marbleconnection.invisionzone.com/index.php?showtopic=13246&view=&hl=9 vane cateye&fromsearch=1# nice cats David edit: 95% or better of what I believe to be german came from Germany. In the pic above and below everything is german(euro) except those Czechs. ..........................................................Yea I know them too euro - see the big blue patch in the pic. above(that ya think aint german) that milky clear with the white stripes/vanes right of it, those I think are probably 1960ish = speculation adding a pic. varying styles and probably manufacturers of those, and some earlier yrs mixed in this lot (they came together) ya see the clear white christensen/not dont ya. lol

pretty damn fine old warrior ya got there. Its been to the show!! we can talk marbles it lives it lol David -
Very Nice marbles and marble pictures. Those earlier pics I sized to small - The bin thats so full is an unsorted compartant straight out the cabinet. So theres some stuff in there dont belong and could be a cat. For the most part they are all german sparklers=(cateyes)(the ones I think you are talking about), lot of "ox" in those types. but they could be anything in there. The second smaller container, those were all bought in one lot. on the cheap if I remember right. David when we do get some info, I think 1935 -1965 and a whole lot more manufacturers than here, probably Euro countries other than jus Germany. Smaller countrys usually means smaller scale operations usually means more of em. edit: Winnie I love those transparents too. I had started to post that on many, simplicity of design was one of the attracters for me and that White/Black(purple) one is a beaut. Then you posted the same in another thread. lol
