The Marketing Of New Run Marbles
marbleus1 replied to marbleus1's topic in General Marble & Glass Chat
My last post on this thread, the last "words" belong to you! You have new machined marbles fetching some purty high prices the condition is apparently “buyer beware”(a new division of Mint), available in large numbers. ALL those who have spoke on the subject have attested to the differing conditions. And yet this does not meet the standards of Topic for discussion. Here! Change the suppliers names from those we know, to Vacor or Imperial And I bet ya do!! To all those that participated I thank you. Most especially to those that opposed its discussion at all. Even if considered drivel you put forth ur viewpoint. I respect it, it differs from mine but apparently represents the majority of the board. I cant tell you I wont discuss it again, I will. I will never again start a thread that discusses this topic. To those that jus clicked in and were put thru it, ya clicked in so that was your choice I hope there was something of value or interest within. Ah but to those few (that didnt) I put myself in it. But ya left me standing here alone damnitman (marble donations accepted) edit: Almost Alone mybad -

You are exactly right. My first post and thread opener and for 4 pages its the facts as I see them. I have answered most every question that has been directed toward me as best I could. Jus three for you, please! Should a collector marble be round, period? Do you have or have you seen a new run marble that you value over $20? (if so please give example) Do you think the number of marbles to go to Market effects value? Anybody or everybody??? Thank you in advance, David a thread is a disscusion they evolve, that aint jacking -

Did you ask what would I propose? Well surprise [he typed with a smile] and since I've told it to one I'll tell ya. If I was Dave McCullough I'd start a Marble Company I'd hand pick a few of the heavy Hitter investors that I trusted and could bring Value to the table and form a company and make marbles for collectors I'd sell stock to afor mentioned collectors(dibs) It would be for collectors so smaller Oh good new small furnace that sure sounds more doable marble machine (sssh there everywhere ssh) Wonder if there could be a market - I wonder! aah to much for a man ready to retire, I wonder? Surely to much work wonder where the help would come from? course I dont make marbles, certainly am not Mr. McCullough and do not suppose to speak for him but thats what I would do. David collector marbles and kid marbles and I'd put some collector marbles in the kid packages like they should be! its what I'd do oh yea! a huge percentage would be round! thinkya thinkya very much and I would like to know lol Paper?? edit:uuuugh $ damnitman 4 pages and $, yea thanks we covered that damnitman I's hoping for some of ur good stuff -

Retraction to the retraction(see post #60,damnitman) Post #38 and the whole Drivel thing marblemiser I was not addressing you I am so sorry it read that way. I knew I was trying to be careful and missed it when I searched for a answer to my offense to marblemiser a respected by me member. It had been just used prior in post #30 by Mike I stated numerous times I would respond in kind It should have been clearer but the meaning would remain. David Doing it simply because its the right thing is alive and well in Capitalism, not as touted cause it aint about the money. But for a better example I'll get back to you Monday night, heads up I'll be emotional -

its out of my dug collection BJ(listed as aventurine - not, got no problems with it though), I really expect that area of my collection to accumalate Value. It will be the unusual not the annealed Supers and more common rejects. There are some very rare combos with anneals, that will $ Big Akro fan Some crazy stuff in the dugs, love the double sparklers! Big Board is right, Dave - folks looks like the smallest there is 7/8", those big White/pink/yellow kill merare. and that 1" Auger BAMya could drill a hole with that babie and thoose Moonie based! definately its them thats favorites, no wait that OX damnitman, david big boy has such a lovely home and his ole simple ass holds his own

anybody had in hand, the size is the troubling size 11/16" Base Coat is "differant" than known to me mill ball/felt/atl/ten.Riv./chinas but nothing would keep ya from a new base coat mill balls in hand - density = heavy see the reason for debate - would like to see that one in hand David
