  1. As if I needed another reminder that life is not fair . . .
  2. Nope. Got it about a year ago. I have a terrible weakness for red slags.
  3. And somehow I forgot to bring up the Alley swirl known by collectors as the "Shimmering Spruce." Nothing but green aventurine ribbons/stripes on a white base.
  4. I don't think it's anybody Christensen. Not CAC, not MFC. I'll go with Akro slag too. And Akro slags are the most common machine-made slags, so they don't go for much unless they're particularly gorgeous examples. This one is nice, but I wouldn't put it in that category. But if you don't have one, it's a good example to have.
  5. I'll have what he's ^^ having . . .
  6. Eclipse of the Sun, the "diamond ring" phase . . . But here's a real freako for you . . . at least it freaked me out when I first understood what it was . . .
  7. Oh great . . . I've seen that translucent purple before, too . . . and it wasn't at Akro . . . oh boy . . .
  8. Love to see them. I'm not as familiar with Vitro as I am with some other stuff . . .
  9. The only thing I can think of is that some of the one-color opaques found at one or the other Alley sites resemble the Champion "brains" in that they're very swirly, if you look closely. That may be what somebody's talking about . . .
  10. These. I forget where this pic came from but Steph will probably remember . . .
  11. This whole agreeing with Galen thing is getting to be weird . . .
  12. I don't think he meant he'd sell the box without the marbles, but I could be wrong. Happens a couple of times a year.
  13. Yup. I'd call at least 4 of them chinas. Maybe all of them.
  14. Not claiming to be a bennie expert, at all. But maybe the small one with "bennington" eyes was intended for the ballot box? Black ones sometime have those touch marks too . . . No clue about the grand slammer, but I kinda like it!
  15. And who said that some were made in the USA? I keep seeing that in some books, but without proof to go with it. Excavated somewhere? Or is that a bunch of hooey?
  16. I'll second and third that.
