Old German Handmade.

German cane cut slags is what I call them. Still looking for blue and red examples!

They are closer to 11/16. Three on the right came in trade, one on left I already had

Some nice finds recently there Ric. Here's one I traded for ~7yrs ago and was happy to find again

I'd say newer contemporary.

Yes, I agree with earlier opinions on subject marble. Pretty beat, but good place holder for collectors on a budget, if they are in the market for this type

No expert here, but I agree the more labor intensive the pattern the more desirable. So if the spacing/geometry is good, or more colors (I see three colored stripes on both left marbles), those are good traits. Your marbles are good examples of the type When you get into the figural design paintings, thats a different beast. Big $$ and questions of authenticity.

Some handmade Germans do have oxblood, then there are some that have red that look like oxblood. Much like machine mades. Nice group of PeeWees

Could be a Peltier peerless patch. With contamination causing the metallic stripe. I've seen similar in this combo.

Nice German handmades. I agree with the symmetry. I'm wondering if the first isn't actually transparent blue over yellow. Making it look green from most angles.

Unusual base glass on this German. (took the picture last week and didnt get around to posting until today)

Always hard to compare an in-hand opinion to pics on a screen, but for my 2 cents it looks legit to me. But like I said, somebody might know otherwise based on their personal experience with the marble. Good luck at the show.

lol, the handmades certainly set the bar high! Looks like a couple decent hand gathered slags in the mix.

Could be Pelt with an abundance of coverage.

What does it look like without the uv? Some people actually collect uv glass items dishes etc

That's pretty cool. I agree not Pelt. I'd almost want a closer look in hand. Could be a folded up vitro conquerer or it could be something else

Definitely hand made German, but there are some intricacies with types that don't fall into a definite category. I never quite understood "transparent Indian" compared to a banded transparent vs. Coreless swirl. Might be a regional thing?

Not sure if that's an Alley? Might need some more views. Blue almost looks transparent. The one to its left (with yellow) in the first pic also looks worth another view

Foreign wirepull, most likely velligglas (sp). what makes this look more appealing is the "wire" follows more of a spiral pattern compared to the more common random pattern. A hardcore collector might see the value in the pattern compared to your average wirepull.

Better lighting on the first might help. Looks like it could be?

Good question, I'm curious as well. Aventurine in German handmades is few and far between. Most likely incidental. Your example above is excellent. What's the size?

Yes, both German. You may have better results if you take the underwater pics looking down (rather than sideways thru the glass, which adds its own distortion).

Cool, can you share any history on the item? Where you got it etc.?
