  1. Agreed on non-USA and almost looks like a double ingot.
  2. Not what I was expecting when I read the thread title, but super cool. I like the idea of clay encased in glass and need to find one now. Props to you and thanks for sharing your story
  3. Looks like a nice group of quality eye candy
  4. Pretty sure not Akro. IF vintage I'd go with Alley.
  5. Interesting. First thought was Alley, reinforced by the size...which led me to Jabo...more pics would help. Outside chance of slag with more than average white. Can't tell from pics
  6. Not CAC, I'd be inclined to say Ravenswood.
  7. From what I've seen, the less white used = sloppier pattern/drizzle/and seedy glass qualities. But there are some nice ones out there
  8. I'm seeing at least 3 other "contemporary" Handmades in the group photos. The Germans look to be in great shape...bold colors and clear glass
  9. And a couple more...minimal twist. Biggest 31/32
  10. A couple similar in this group
  11. I think it's pretty cool for someone to be looking out on your behalf. Quite the mix. Top pic has at least 3 decent Akros (Ades/ringers/Imperials...can never remember which is which). Some handmades (clay, Agate and beat up glass). And a bunch of machine made Vitros and catseyes. a fun batch to sort and learn from. As much as I like yardwork I like marbles more, lol
  12. I've seen those undertones in the white on Alley marbles.
  13. Some foreign marbles look similar ro Master brushed patches. Are you outside the US?
  14. Still chewing on it but I don't think it's a Pelt
  15. Kind of similar to Euro wirepulls
  16. Peltier was my first thought, but I don't think it is. Champion was my second thought.
  17. I believe the ones some people refer to as inkies have darker translucent blue on a custard-y base...
  18. Is the base glass green under normal light or is that from Uv?
  19. Unless still in the bottle it would be hard to differentiate between a standard "bullet mold marble". Especially at 1"
  20. Less than $10 per marble, with the case, already sourced, sorted and ID'd. I could see someone spending that for an instant "collection"
