  1. I don't find these to be a common color combo...with the brown.
  2. I'm even more confused now. If you've already instructed them to keep the marbles and "kiss my a$s", I'd consider that chapter closed and time to move on. Unless this is a joke post or social experiment to elicit comments?
  3. Nice size. Most I've seen top out around 1-3/16"
  4. I'd guess more like a bird of prey. Falcon or hawk or something.
  5. I'm confused. They sent different marbles than what was agreed to? Or you felt mislead by the pics compared to what was received?
  6. Well you guys must have better eyes than me if you can determine "polished" from these pics. What I can tell you, having handled a bunch of Greiners in hand, the glass is prone to seediness and blowouts Even more so on examples with oxblood. Probably related to formulation and primitive techniques being used at the time...keeping in mind this was at the forefront of glass marble production. Just my 2 cents worth. I don't typically comment on open auctions.
  7. Looks like bullet mold marbles to me.
  8. Third column bottom on the OP looks pretty neat
  9. I agree it's a big beat to heck Rainbo
  10. Not sure what more could be expected considering original condition. Turned out ok.
  11. Surprised no one mentioned Peltier?
  12. Pontil on first means not CAC Guinea, most likely Bulgarian. Middle looks like machine made Alley. Last is most likely Bulgarian. If Pontil is faceted it would be German (Greiner). Melted would make it Navarre (or other US Leighton). It it's a rough pontil that looks like it was ground on the sidewalk, Bulgarian.
  13. These came together...I don't really collect machine made marbles but don't recall seeing these before. Some type of tri-lite maybe? Any help appreciated
  14. Been a bit of a dry spell for me so was pleased to get these in a group. Check out the chunk of debris in that catseye!
  15. Surprised nobody else has chimed in. If it's vintage (which it's looking that way to me from the pics) it's one heck of a marble. Meaning you'd literally see dozens of 2"+ handmades (which arent that common to begin with) before you'd come across an example like this. If you've got a marble show or reputable collector in your area I'd encourage someone to take closer look "in hand", to evaluate.
  16. The size tho. Interesting. Unopened box of what?
  17. Agreed. The internal pattern starts getting removed and somewhat defeats the purpose. If it's just frosty surface damage, polishing will allow you to view/enjoy the internal patterns. Probably not cost effective for these examples
  18. Nice symmetry, they look kinda neat with hardly any twist
  19. I did some months ago, similar results. Air rifle to relieve pressure, then axe to bust open cans. Still got paint splatter everywhere.
