  1. It briefly occurred to me to wonder how they made that happen but then I forgot to keep wondering.
  2. But here's the tricky part. Vacor made some new ones ... called Rustic. Most of your marbles in this group look old but three of the marbles on the bottom right edge of the your last picture are what reminded me if this newer style. I _think_ the Rustics are a heavier marble than vintage clay, but I formed that opinion long ago and I don't know if it is accurate. DETAILED INFORMATION (billes-en-tete.com)
  3. Don't wash them. What's left of the coloring will likely fade.
  4. Don't toss! If you have room, save them. The tiny ones may be from a Mosaic toy. Murmelwelt.de has some examples. Some with glass, some with clay. murmelwelt.de / Kugelmosaike
  5. I _want_ the first one to be Vitro. That second one is crazy.
  6. With the two ribbons I am getting a Vacor feel on the second one also, but I can't place the style name.
  7. Pretty sure that is a Vacor Streamer. DETAILED INFORMATION (billes-en-tete.com)
  8. I don't know about repros. It's not something I see everyday. That's for sure. Congrats on the acquisition.
  9. I think Vacor Sunset on the first. DETAILED INFORMATION (billes-en-tete.com)
  10. I'm all in with Alley.

    Akro?

Those are some mighty fine lashes. I would say "lashes don't mean Akro" ... but with those seams, Akro is certainly a good possibility.
  12. I thought hard about mentioning Vitro Whitie as a possibility, but I stared and stared at the glass and decided I was seeing Peltier base glass, so I decided I was dithering too much over other options.
  13. Common?? Yeah, sure, I have five in my attic! Not!
  14. Agree with Cat's Eyes. Agree with Asian. At least one most. That orange one at the bottom of the first picture could be an American marble, maybe from the Heaton company. Many are early-ish from Japan. Early-ish = 1950's to 1960's. As a general rule the single-color four-vane cat's eyes with the clearest base glass have the best chance of being 1950's. But I think of your turquoise ones as early-ish even though the bases are coming through as a little gray-tinted. Some of your three-color cat's eyes with six-vanes look like they might have a white "cross-through" pair of vanes. For example, the vane order being: blue, blue, white, yellow, yellow, white. Having a cross-through pair is desirable. Having a non-white cross-through is a little more desirable, but all are nice. As the base glass gets darker or greener tinted, the cat's eyes become less distinguishable by age or decade -- just "newer Asian".
  15. Agree with modern MK for that pattern.
  16. I was getting a bit of a Vitro vibe at points ... but as Ric obvserved, I can't answer with the lighting. I'm used to ID-ing marbles in normal light. Backlit gives a wonderful but different feel, which doesn't provide the usual ID-ing cues to my brain.
  17. 1. Yes to Vitro blackline All Red 2. ? 3. Maybe Jabo 4. Modern Asian 5. Peltier Rainbo
  18. I'll say Master or Asian. Not cat's eye. I know the frustration of having one full of cool stuff but too dark for the wow-factor.
  19. West Virginia Swirl. Possibly Alley.

    Foreign?

    Yes. Modern Asian.
