  1. Your enthusiasm has been such a delight. You've made me want to go to Standing Stone ... or drop in at whatever park you're working at if I ever find myself in Tennessee.
  2. The glass doesn't look slag-like to me ... so I'm not sure what I wanted to guess the Peltier Co. meant it to be. And obviously whether it is Pelt or not is still up for debate.
  3. Our pet goat was named Pius, after the popes. My dad was not reverent.
  4. You are indeed right up there with Rick for picking delightfully detailed lies which sound true. I'll guess the one about your uncle ....
  5. Tempting ..... Might find room in my garden for this next year ..... Bee Drinking Garden Ball | Water for Bees | Uncommon Goods
  6. Ha! I have taken screenshots and blown them up to try to figure out marbles in other shows -- Little Lord Fauntleroy for one -- but I didn't know there were any in To Kill a Mockingbird.
  7. 🫦 Looks familiar. I am optimistic that you can get an answer.
  8. Ooooh .... I'm feeling a Pelt grain on the left and Akro slag on the right.
  9. That would rival my moving rate, which would amaze me and fill me with great sympathy for you. I hope that one's not true!
  10. How many languages do you speak?
  11. Correct. His middle name was the numeral 5.
  12. My grandfather's middle name was the numeral 7. I hung out after work with a boy for months before we learned we were second cousins. He was embarrassed because he had almost asked me out on a date. Eli and Peyton Manning are also my cousins.
  13. This thread is making me realize how boring I am.
  14. The story about the college guy sounds true.
  15. The 2007 book entitled "Arnold Fiedler: Glass & Marble Maker Par Excellence"? I think I have that one.
  16. The color is right for a Christensen Agate, but I don't recognize the classic structural signs of Chrissie so I also have to consider WVS, maybe Alley.
  17. Just popping in for a minute ... don't have any links ... but I do remember references to kids in the olden days going to the bike shops to get ball bearings for play.
  18. At first glance, the structure on the right looked Marble King to me. I don't have blue-based MK cats though. I do have blue-based Vitros, but with a cage style cat. Fwiw, the modern Marble King cats could go a little crazy structurally. I am considering that #2 through 5 (left to right) could all be American-made cats from the same manufacturer, even though #3 obviously doesn't care about fitting in. And a different maker for the larger marble, #1.

    Master?

    I'll jump on Art's train.
  20. Now that I'm seeing yellow on both ends, I'm heading fast to MK-ville.
