  1. Different years? They seem to have different bases.
  2. Is the 2nd one a Champion Furnace swirl? First one looks very strange. It looks modern and/or contemp to me. (I think of "contemporary" as handmade, and I'm wondering if this one might be a Vacor.)
  3. Very interesting. Like a "biggest in the world" attraction on Route 66. (:
  4. That link is not working. I tried to fix it, but my fix didn't take either.
  5. You could test the volume with a beaker of water.
  6. I don't know if there are any regular No. 115s.
  7. Scrumptious Akro haul, Stacy.
  8. Found the box. It has the April 1931 episode on it. Says Akro on one end of the box and No. 115 on the other end. (At least another box which looks about the same except for different damage said that.)
  9. Thanks guys. Maybe Bob or someone will know for sure but I'm guessing this is all from 1931. There are also 3 two-panel Big Time Marbles comics from 1932. Is there a "Big Time Marbles" box or am I getting confused with something else now? Maybe I'm thinking of something from Peltier. *dunno*
  10. 'kay. I'm not familiar with clear-based Jabos.
  11. That gives me Episodes 1, 2, 3, & 4 of Big Time Marbles. I'm a lucky girl!
  12. Boys' Life -- January - April of 1931
  13. Have you seen that color combo on Jabos?
  14. Yeah, all my spirals have pretty clean ribbons. I'm curious about what this one could be.
  15. The bottom view(s) aren't opening for me. Are you wondering if it's Akro or not? That's a lot of yellow and doesn't look like a distinct ribbon. But first impression is it looks Akro. Style name for single-colored ribbons in clear glass is "Spiral".
  16. Yup, the Peanuts comic strip wasn't even two years old yet. Charlie Brown had made appearances in an earlier strip but he was still new. His character was somewhere only 4 or 5 years old here. He got a little older later.
  17. One of Snoopy's brothers was named Marbles. I got a paper copy of a Peanuts strip featuring a marble game. Since I don't have a scanner set up I tried to look for it online and stumbled across that little factoid about Snoopy's brother. Eneeeway ... I found a copy of the comic strip. June 29, 1952. http://peanuts.wikia.com/wiki/June_1952_comic_strips
  18. Bump! Would love to see some more eye candy.
