  1. I am not aware of marble manufactures making paperweights. I suppose Peltier could have. They made a whole lot of things. And there might have been Italian or German manufactures who did both but I wouldn't know any names. I visited a paperweight forum once, doing research on how what we call sulphides got that name. It had finally occurred to me that whatever was happening in marbles had generally been happening in a bigger way with paperweights. It was a positive experience. So that would be my best advice. I don't remember the name of the forum I visited all those years ago, but surely you could find a good one with an internet search.

    MK or Pelt

Pelt for sure. I don't know about cuts, but the colors are classic. Another clue is the flip-flop color distribution. Yellow on top on the left, white on top on the right.
  3. The hunt continues.
  4. The glass is looking modern to me. But maybe I just have modern on the brain -- it seems to be my answer on everything today.

    ??? Peltier

It's different from my Vacor Sunsets, but I suspect it would fit in this Sunset bag from the Billes-in-tete site:

    ??? Peltier

    I am seeing Vacor.
  7. Pelt Rainbo on the green. Possibly pre-cat's eye but could overlap. Not sure about the yellow. I'm thinking either interesting Pelt ... or interesting Marble King. If Marble King, then I'm thinking modern. Some of those modern MK cats got pretty shredded. I'll bump the thread and root for Pelt for you.
  8. This could be a question of who currently polishes marbles with machines. Or it could be a question of how to do light touch-ups at home. I remember hearing of people polishing by hand. But I don't know the details. And I know of someone who has used water-soluble polymer to make the surface quite presentable. And @Kimbernugs has been working with resin: https://marbleconnection.com/topic/35002-resin-coating-project
  9. The Peltier is a Multicolor Rainbo, from the National Line Rainbo era, early 1930's.
  10. I am leaning Vitro on the first one. I see Akro possibilities, but leaning Vitro.
  11. Oh, here's a marble being called a Grasshopper? Rare and Hard to Find | peltiermarblesinfo To me this marble is very different from yours. In my auction I would call yours a Peltier Peewee Rainbo and then hype the Peewee part.
  12. I say yes to Pelt Rainbo. Not a Blue Lagoon. I am not familiar with Grasshopper as a Pelt name, but definitely Pelt Rainbo in my book.
  13. Loving the sharp brightness of the middle two. Thanks for the bump! (Gentle p.s. -- I would not have the left with my Veiligglas and I'm wondering if the right marble might be a Ravenswood, which wouldn't be a bad thing!)
  14. Hi Scott. Do you see something like this at the bottom of the posting window? I clicked on the "choose files" option and chose this image from my computer.
  15. Thanks for checking in. This is pretty sad. Literally no one? Shocking. But overall, it sounds very nice. Happy for you.
  16. Yes, Anacortes would by my first choice on those.
  17. Totally Pelt. And yeah, I agree some kind of error. I don't know what conditions contributed to the error.
  18. How weird is it that I can't remember if I have a pink champagne? If I were a pink champagne where would I be?
  19. Are you asking about this patch? My first thought was Peltier.
  20. well done Could it be Champion on the purple? I can't tell if I'm seeing a swirl or not. What do you mean by 8 strips?
  21. Interesting. I was about to say Master.
  22. Was going to say Alley on all. But a slightly seedy quality to the white base glass is making me wonder about the Heaton or Cairo Novelty possibility on those two.
  23. Chad, are you thinking the marble is from the most recent runs, like the 1990s to the present? I am seeing mostly opposing colors on the poles for Scott's. A green patch on one end and the rest of the green forming enough of a circle to allow a fair sized black patch on the other end. That's why I put it as sort of "mid-vintage". Somewhere between the marble you showed and the more modern ones with simple green patches on either end.
