  1. Haven't seen a one yet. Or did I miss something...
  2. On second thought, I don't think I ever had any Parakeets, after seeing Edna's pictures. They must be pretty rare.
  3. At least two of the marbles in post #9 are not Parrots because they have too much white. I used to have a 5/8" Parakeet, but not anymore. I also used to have about a dozen 3/4" Parakeets. They all had little, if any, white. Parrots are always opaque, though some of the colors can have some translucency.

  5. My latest Nottmiller, and it's a Copperhead, too. I know how to pick 'em
  6. It's hard to get a "feel" for some of these with just one picture...
  7. The part I don't understand is "any effort to duplicate these oddities I think would if anything bargain less in the possibility of them occurring". The other part sounds like you're saying that if there are too many of them, people will appreciate or value them less. Maybe so, but that is an unsettling thought. If there was enough variety, maybe that wouldn't be true. On a radically different, but oddly-related subject, it has often occurred to me that maybe that's why so many children aren't appreciated or treated properly - there's just too many of them around, and they're so easy to make...
  8. Could you elaborate on this please? I'm kind of dense... (...actually, I was sorta hoping this thread would disappear into the back pages...)
  9. Just bought these this week. I love the intricate striations! I'm hooked Get them here

  11. Here's some doozies: (...just a little gallows humor...)
  12. Yikes @ at those two in post #16...
  13. I used to have an all-black cat back in 1972. He was one of a litter of five. His name was Paul. His siblings were John, George, Ringo, and Julia (John Lennnon's mother). The mother cat was Eleanor Rigby. Ringo turned out to be a girl. One morning, I came down downstairs to find my cat in the hands of a little boy who I had never seen before. This boy was walking with my cat to a car parked in the driveway. He got in the car with my cat, and away the car went. I never saw Paul again. Not long after that, some more people came, people who were stopping for the year-in-year-out garage sale event at our place...These people left with the rest of the cats, except for John, who had already had his shots, due to an illness, and was thus grudgingly spared... ...so it goes.... I'd post pictures, but I didn't have a camera back then.
  14. Mike, you should raise your s/h. What you charge doesn't even cover the cost of postage...
  15. Steph, maybe you prevented a catastrophe...
  16. That's a cute tuxedo cat Maybe it's the litter box stuff he's more interested in than the marbles...
  17. I need a break from this thread! That's all I'm saying!
