  1. For me, it's simple. Red/Yellow/Blue = Superman Blended Red-Yellow/Blue = Superboy Red/Blue = Spiderman Additional blended colors on the Superman are a bonus.
  2. I would call it a Superman because of the yellow.
  3. I have two similar ones, plus a green one with reddish trim, all with aventurine.
  4. Nice handmades! I'll be watching for them, if they're going to be on eBay. You have a caged solid core (pink/white core with yellow outer bands), an onionskin (aqua/white/pink bands), another onionskin (pink/blue/white bands), another solid core (yellow core with pink/blue bands trimmed with white), several more solid cores, a couple yellow latticinio cores, a white latticinio core, another onionskin (blue/aqua/white bands), a Joseph's Coat (I think, could also be an Onionskin, I can never get those straight...red/yellow/blue), and several divided cores.
  5. Of course I'm interested. Just somebody else do the work...
  6. Could somebody please sum up whatever it is that we're talking about in post #1? I find economics/politics too nauseating to do any in depth research on...
  7. Maybe these stories should be told while the person is still living.
  8. Shocking news and a sad day. My prayers for Edna and family.
  9. Those are some fantastic MKs, all of them That Hercules hybrid in post #4 looks alot like one I missed on eBay a couple years ago or so, sold by eBay seller l-ie.
  10. Here's a pic of the marbles being referred to. The ones I circled are questionable, and I think probably none of them are Victories. The others all have a clear base. The purple/white one has a few internal white strands, so I'd say it's probably a Bullseye Phantom Conqueror, tho I've never seen one in that color combo.
  11. What is the official definition of a Vitro Victory? Is it: "A colored patch on a crystal clear transparent base." So, would any of these marbles qualify, or would they be excluded? Colored patch on a crystal clear colored transparent base. Two-color patch on a crystal clear or colored transparent base. Colored patch with some internal strands, on a crystal clear or colored transparent base. Colored patch with a partially brushed look, but no internal strands, on a crystal clear or colored transparent base.
  12. Dumb only because you don't happen to like the person it was said in defense of. If you had, then it would've been a brilliant statement, I suppose. How's that for a jack.
  13. eBay Auction The $48.50 bid came six seconds after the two higher bids. Why was it allowed to go through? Just wondering.
  14. This is my Cornelian. It is 13/16". It appears to be opaque, until mag lited, then it is translucent red.
  15. This marble isn't really a Parrot because it is more of a eye/ribbon/patch design, right? Questionable Parrot Not sure about this one either. Another one I haven't read this thread thoroughly, so my apologies if this has already been discussed.
  16. Actually, I feel foolish for entertaining the possibility that she might change her ways in the least... Of course she's still my friend...however she might define that...
  17. Her reply: Well I'm sorry your wrong...I do not buy them. I really did find them in my basement. Sorry to burst your bubble. And I really do live in a 150 old home. If you don't want buy them then don't. I would hope you have better things to do then harrass me. And have a great weekend..Your friend Tammy - tammysvintagemarbles
  18. I just sent her this message: Dear tammysvintagemarbles, I finally figured out where you've been getting all those 3/4" mineral marbles that you've been pretending you found in the basement of your 150-year-old house: http://www.landofmar...al-spheres.html Let's see if she still calls herself "your friend", if she replies at all...
  19. I finally figured out where she's getting all those 3/4" mineral marbles that she's been selling for ten times what she paid for them. (Remember this thread...about the seller that lives in the 150 year old house where she found marbles in the basement in dirty jars...) She gets them here... ...and she sells them here... I actually bid on this marble, knowing it was a newer mineral marble, of course, but not knowing the first thing about what they sell for...
  20. The thread I'm remembering was definitely about rebuilding the 1" furnace, not the 3/4" furnace.
  21. But there was a thread not long ago, about how some bricks were obtained to rebuild the furnace...
  22. Why do they make it sound like the furnace hasn't had any repairs done to it?
