  1. I started a thread on Coral Swirls not long ago. Can someone find it? Never did get any real conclusive answer as to what mine were.
  2. The first one looks like an MK Poor Man's Watermelon, and the size would suggest that too.
  3. And what a performance by The Who!!! Long live Roger n Pete
  4. I think I finally got Firefox figured out. Here's what I did to save a picture off eBay: 1: Enlarge the picture on eBay 2. Right-click the picture to get the pop-up menu, then left-click on "View Page Info" 3. Left-click on the "Media" icon at the top of the "Page Info" pop-up page 4. Left-click on the "Save As" button towards the bottom of the page, on the right side 5. Browse to the folder of your choice, name the file, and save it
  5. That MAY be acceptable, but only if you didn't MAKE the doilies... ...OMG...you DIDN'T...did you...??!
  6. These wooden tool chests make great displays for marbles. The ones I bought were cheaper, about $60.00 each. Tool Chest And I put dividers in the drawers, using Velcro strips and wooden dowels cut to size, for expandable/contractable sections.
  7. Mozilla Firefox: I should have said that SOMETIMES you can save pictures by right-clicking, and sometimes you can't (or at least I can't). But with Explorer I almost always can.
  8. You can right click to save pictures on eBay if you are using Internet Explorer, but not if you are using Mozilla Firefox.
  9. I'm dong good if I can keep track of who has the ball. Never could understand how anyone could see who "hesitated a split second" or who missed an assignment, etc...
  10. I listed more marbles last night, including Akro, Vitro, MFC, and German handmades. Still have quite a few more Akros to list.
  11. Thanks for the very informative answers And what about the layered colors on the second marble? My impression is that these are older, or "higher quality" marbles...?
  12. The first marble: Would it be considered three-stage, since there is some space between the white core and the colored bands that surround it? Is there a minimum space requirement? The second marble: Each ribbon spreads out in opposite directions from the center of the ribbon. Would that be called "finned"...or what? And is this only a Double Divided Core? One ribbon is backed by solid yellow, and the other ribbon is backed by solid white. What appears to be green is actually transparent aqua, and what appears to be orange is actually transparent pink. I would guess that marbles of this type (solid colors underneath other transparent colors) are older than marbles without layered colors...?
  13. Yes, I remember you Welcome back!
  14. This is the feedback that the buyer left for that $673.00 Akro Patch that started this thread: "The marble was a knockout ! Speedy delivery and photos-right on the money !!!"
  15. I don't care much for the Manning boys (spoiled rich kids, especially Eli), so I guess I'm for the Saints. The Bears are my team.
  16. Not hard at all...just took a little advertising Take a look at what the Jabo Joker Rainbows are going for these days...even when sold in large groups. Look at the this seller's current and completed listings. Jabos
  17. I'm used to getting creamed! And what is the color combo of the one missing from my set?
  18. I have a nice signed Mike Barton marble that's been on eBay for some time now. Only one watcher (is it you, Mike?) It's a real bargain at $10.00. msb 07
  19. I have a set of (7) white cross-through catseyes for sale on eBay. All are different color combos. White Cross-thru Cats
  20. I am sure of the ids of just about all the marbles in my collection. There's only a handful of WV marbles that I'm not positive which company made them, but I'm sure they're all vintage. I buy only what I like. Sometimes I'm a little disappointed on the condition, but never on the vintage. If I'm not sure, I ask someone. I think it's pretty easy to spot a modern marble, including Jabo or Vacor.
  21. Yes, 99%+ positive can be a bad score too, if it's a high-volume seller. Anymore, even if the seller has 100% positive, I still read through some of the feedbacks to see if they are only lukewarm comments. Even then... NOTHING BEATS PAST EXPERIENCE WITH A SELLER!
  22. So far, whoever bought it has not left any feedback for it.
  23. Is it for real? Sorta looks like a croquet ball, but too small. Marble
