  1. That Champion bag is crazy, The Slags belong in the Lucky Boy Box generally a row of each different color of Peltier Featherd Slags came in that box. DB.
  2. These came in a Vintage/ Antique lot a few years back interesting and deep little mibs they are, heavily filamentous on the interior a little pink, tan, and touch of gray on an off clear/ cream soda type base, 5/8ths on the left 9/16ths on the right , I've heard some interesting opinions from collectors in the past that include Cac, Ravenswood, Champion and Alley, hope the photos are good enough, note the construction closely, It was a great lot of Marbles I bought from an Eldery woman who works at a Local Antique store, she kept telling me about the marbles for about 4 years until she finally found them, about 1200 marbles in the lot, not a single MK or catseye to be found which would give a small clue to the age, Love to hear some opinions DB.
  3. Oh yes, Red white and blue popeye, it looks like it saw some significant action, unmistakeable colors DB.
  4. Hello Sara, in your first picture would it be possible to see the red white and blue marble at the bottom tight of the photo? from the angle provided it appears to be a Popeye and would be a little better than the standard color types, DB.
  5. Oh the Color!!! Looks like a box of Cac Candy !! I wonder back in the day when these were made how many employees thought they were just stunning as well, and after a hard hot day took a few of these a couple of those and oh a fistful of the green subs home, and there they still sit today in a dark dusty attic waiting to be rediscovered, Killer mibbage Galen it was fun to see them up close in Vegas. DB.
  6. Yes the Pink/ lavender is pretty cool, only one I have like that at this point slags are fun to collect every now and then it seems like you can find a good or rare one in a lot, this one came in a group earlier last year, I posted it on the other website and it really didn't draw much attention, allthough I think it to be quite rare, 5/8ths + with a Green AV spiral going into the interior of the marble with a splendid AV plume, and yes it is green AV, very tough to get a quality photo of the green but in hand its plain as day, DB.
  7. Thanks everyone, its like an instant mini MFC collection kinda cool, DB.
  8. So I won this lot last friday, they came today, these were burried amongst a bunch of catseyes, I thought some looked larger my eyes must be going, a few Nice ones in the lot anyway, 50% of them had joined the flea circus at some point in time, oh well for roughly 100 year old mibbage they arn't that bad, enough to put a cool little box set together anyway, there were others as well not photoed little too much damage, anyway lets see how many pics I can get up here, I would also think that at the point of time that these were made a Perfect (9) wasn't the goal so if the pattern was ascue or disrupted it was much more common than the perfect Nine, quite abit of interior action as well So now go ahead and say these are hand gathered Akro, I'll run out in front of a bus and change my name to Dave Hamburger, There's one of the light purples That when backlit turns a beautiful opalecent pink, crazy nice color, Lets see how many pics I can post. looks like 2, DB.
  9. OK Craig with the eveidence at hand well go with Cac then, got the MFC lot today not as sizey marbles I was hoping, and at some point in time they visited the Flea circus, a few nice ones though O'll post those in a bit DB.
  10. What a hell of a post, see if I can get a few pics in, interesting how things change over a few years as far as MFC to Cac then Akro hand gathered, top 2 7/8th then 13/16ths 3/4 and 5/8th and a touch under 5/8th, interesting Aug 2013 at the Canton show I showed the top 2 and Craig you said MFC and Mr Estepp also said MFC on those 7/8ths examples Now ??? I have a nice MFC lot with all colors coming in a day or two I'll do a post when they arrive many sizes as well funny though no red, but a couple of bricks it appears DB.
  11. MMMMM---- Flameolisious Very nice, hard to find the smaller ones so intense, DB.
  12. Boy you have some nice looking worms up in Canada!! DB.
  13. I had recently seen on another website in a galaxy far far away that Champion indeed made some orange wirepull types along with the yellows Galen, but they are very very few and far between, The Veliglass Wirepulls didnt use that specific Orange as far as I Know or have seen, especially in a 5/8ths size, nice marble love the color, DB.
  14. I'm Ok Steph, Thank you for the information, Bill and Ron turned into Clams on me there, DB.
  15. There is also 1 on Ebay Bill, Curious Ron, are yours full of Pelts to?? DB.
  16. When you place large spheres in your yard, so it looks like some Giant left his marbles behind, Dave B.
