Hubby got tired of me complaining about my lousy < almost nothing pixels camera so he (on a whim) went to Best Buy to buy printer ink and came back with a Nikon Cool Pix P530. I know nothing about cameras, but have just started to get the hang of this one..much nicer than my old one. Still doesn't shoot killer close ups of mibs, but I'm told I need a special macro lens for that. This is just fine for this super novice. He, unfortunately gets to carry it, as it does not fit in my travelin' purse!!

Hi All, Hubby and I spent 3 lovely days at the Sistersville show. The weather was fabulous, marbles were abundant and as usual, marble folks are the best! Saw many familiar faces and made many new marble friends as well (even a furry one) Had a great time. This show is so unusual as it is 100% outdoors and free to vendors. Put it on your bucket-list for sure. Enjoy!

Your post made me laugh Winnie..you are not alone re: your views about Americans and food. We were visiting Neuschwanstein Castle in Germany, and were chatting with 2 ladies from Poland while waiting in line. Don't recall how the topic came up, but I mentioned cooking dinner and they snickered and looked surprised...said they thought Americans ate Mc Donalds every day. When I told them that I eat McDonalds a few times a year, they did not believe me. Had to go on and on about all the things I liked to cook before they believed me.

When I do an all veggie in the crock pot cook it all day soup, I use V8 as the base...works well instead of a veg stock.

Here are my miniature dice. Some are glass, plastic, possibly bone?? Just think they are cute and colorful. I used to always play with my Mom's buttons, beads and strings of glass bugle beads and sequins when I was little (she sewed quite a bit). This this is how I developed a love of small colorful cute things...also LOVE me some colored Christmas lights; the more the better..no white lights in my house!!
