I remember seeing a box once, but this looks in really too good of good shape. "Made in germany" would put it after 1903, but I know that could have been stamped on there yesterday. There are 42 blue and 46 brown, all the same size range of 1/2" to 9/16"

I have an opportunity to buy these but I don't know for certain if they are real. I don't have exact measurements but the animal is more than 1-1/2" and the number is around 1 1/4" (these are estimates, didn't have my caliper with me). Any thoughts? Anything I should look for if I have them in hand?

Every thing looks right on them to me, and even compared them to my box of reproduction comics (which I found out the maker of recently. Thanks old books), but I haven't had any real comics yet, so I wanted to be sure. 11/16" on the left, 21/32" on the right

Exactly what I was thinking. I have seen a bunch of lazy corks in that color combo, but they always still went pole to pole. This one looks to go pole to pole (when you look at it a bunch).

Is it possible that master bought bananas from peltier? Two styles of the same color in the same bag could make that a possibility?

Both are 3/4", both with very similar traits. I say akro for the one on the left and master for the right. Am I wrong?

I am going to guess akro oxblood swirl for the one on the right, but I have no reasoning for it

I want to say pelt, but the ribbons are just look too patch and ribbon for me to be 100%. Measures 5/8".

It was in a large group of marbles, and I think the person I got it from bought it in that condition. There was another blue popeye that just looked way different than this one. At least the egg yolk and milky oxbloods are in original shape. Also, if anyone is looking for 4 large pickle jars, let me know. They don't have any marbles in them anymore so they are of no use to me:-)

I can't tell if is just a weird popeye or if it has been polished, making it look weird. Measures just a hair over 11/16".
