  1. Can you take a pic of the other seam? Could be a vitro whitie
  2. I go master when the patch is narrow, akro when it is wide like that one
  3. Really blurry pics, but I would guess akro patch for the top one and Peltier peerless patch for the other 3
  4. I just had to share because it is probably the biggest chunk of furnace brick I have seen. I think the mib is pelt, but can't really be sure

The McDonald's by me still deep fries the pies (yes I have had them recently lol)
  6. That's my thought. You only pay fees on what sells, which this probably won't.

Quarter pounder and 2 apple pies, every time
  8. I know for a fact he is personally polishing marbles or has a guy that polishes marbles. That is why I stopped selling to him.
  9. Stuff like this is why I don't buy or sell in auctions, other than ebay. Sellers fees really aren't that bad if you have a basic subscription and are a top rated seller. On average I pay around 11.5 - 12% between ebay and paypal, and I don't find that unreasonable at all, especially when compared to what you usually have to give up on consignment. Also ebay has one less hand in the pot, as with liveauctioneers, they are basically an unnecessary part of the process, and are driving up fees and lowering realized auction prices.
  10. Getting closer! I have been sorting marbles for days :-)
  11. Isn't a hotdog an open faced sandwich? There is technically only one piece of bread
  12. The middle one isn't jabo? I have a ton of these and just assumed they were jabo claasics. Could they be vacor? I have found them in large enough quantity that I assumed they had to be newer Edit: looking on Santa's bling, could they be '98 jabos? There are some very similar ones in that year
  13. the middle one is jabo I believe, and im not sure about the other two, but jabo may be a good guess as well
  14. I would think think that any metal that is used in glass manufacturing would form a stable compound that would be tough to distinguish from sand and other natural things in the soil that are made of the same materials (in slightly different proportions). I believe uranium glass could possibly be detected, but again, only because of unique properties that it has. I can not think of a unique trait that glass (in general) exhibits that would be exploitable to locate it.
  15. My best guess would be no. It would take some expensive equipment in order to be able to detect marbles underground. Glass is chemically similar to a lot of the things found in the ground, it would be tough to distinguish from other things. Glass is also not magnetic, so it couldn't work like a metal detector, which uses that unique property of metals to differentiate whether or not metal is present.
  16. So here is a pic of the one on the left closer up with a flash. Is that yellow?
  17. I'm sorry to hear that. My father also beat bladder cancer before he lost his battle to a sarcoma. My thoughts are with you.
  18. Just wanted to share this beauty with everyone. Got it today down at the swap meet from my new favorite seller :-) Measures 1 - 5/8"
  19. I'm not hoping for anything other than a positive id. Also for someone to tell me whether it is green or white swirled
  20. Found these together today and think they are pretty cool. Is that green on green or is it white under green? Two measure 19/32", the little guy is 17/32"
  21. I am calling it a tri-level latticino, which I am sure is not the right term
