  1. I'm pretty sure they were talking to at least one other person besides me. Also, the email is a gmail account and the phone is a cricket phone, both almost untraceable. It's going to be a challenge, but hopefully the police will get a break somehow. Craig
  2. Usually in a fishtank...Art is old and everything seems like a river to him.
  3. Thanks, I added the URL. This forum hates the eBay URL's for some reason.
  4. Haven't sold on eBay for over a year, but I put on some nice marbles this week. Thanks for looking. My link http://tinyurl.com/3qv65jo http://shop.ebay.com/buymarbles*com/m.html?_nkw=&_armrs=1&_from=&_ipg=&_trksid=p4340 A few samples:
  5. Ok, here we go with government redtape. I have talked to the police department. Because the case was just reported on Monday, it is not yet 'in the system'. So they told me to wait. Unreal! Anyway, if someone can get me the ADDRESS of Bo's house, they might be able to look up the case. Craig
  6. I was contacted about this collection two weeks ago by two young men from Phoenix. I talked to them on the phone but got a weird feeling. I have phone numbers and email addresses. They sent pictures in an email and I immediately recognized them as Bo's. I have seen his marbles a few times and there were lot's of blue / green. They said they were a nephew, but as soon as I asked if they were Bo's, they had no idea who I was talking about. I backed off and told them I wasn't interested. Now it's all clear. 7. Stunning! Those red and whites..wow...
  8. True, but they are trying very hard to take the auction out of it. They have been trying for years to compete with amazon and want eBay to be a fixed price site. That's why they continue to punish the sellers for having shipping fees. Now it's 9% PLUS anything you charge for shipping. So if you sell an item for $100 and charge $5 to ship you would have to pay $14, PLUS the shipping charges yourself, PLUS 3% PayPal. Ridiculous.
  9. Here they go again! eBay sellers will be charged 9 percent of an item's selling price plus the amount the seller charges the buyer for shipping under a major new selling change announced this week. The fee, to be capped at $100, is meant to encourage more sellers to offer free shipping.ebay_logo.jpg On the flip side, listing fees will be dropped and sellers will now be able to list up to 50 items each month at any starting price. Sellers also may elect the option to add the popular "Buy it Now" selling option for free. Abolishing listing fees is not a new move for eBay. The fees were levied far less starting last year across several promotional efforts. The move was designed to attract sellers and compete with the growing number of ecommerce websites as well as curb the monstrous growth of Amazon.com. Amazon announced early last year that antiques and collectibles sellers we welcome to the site, however the category has failed to take off.
  10. Just a quick update. Two weeks left to show day. 45 rooms and 50 tables reserved already. Cut off for room rates at the Holiday Inn is Feb. 24th. Hope to see you there! Craig Snider www.kcmarbleclub.com
  11. Wow...I just talked to Bo a few weeks ago on the phone. Sounded like the same ole' Bo. This is a shock! He loved marbles and always had something nice to say when you showed him one of your nice corks. RIP Bo... Craig
  12. Those were all fake clay marbles. They all seem to come from Kentucky and Tennessee for some reason and that's where they were. They sell for $1 each in the antique stores there. Craig
  13. Beautiful. That's a really rare color combo. Nice! Craig
  14. Wow...amazing on about 10 levels. Great pictures! It's cool what different color backgrounds can do when you are shooting pictures. Craig
  15. Thanks everyone. These early red cover 250 boxes always seem to have really unusual marbles in them. The ones on the left sure seem to be ringers, and to me all the ones on the right seem to be a variation or in the same family. Same type of construction, base glass, white, etc. Not for sale right now. Craig
  16. The producers of American Pickers called me last month about this episode wanting some history of marbles. I tried to get them to send me a picture of the marbles so i could tell them what they had and give them an approximate value but they never did. Don't know if they found out the value or not. They are supposed to credit me at the end of the show. I will watch to see what they find! Craig www.buymarbles.com
