I have really good examples of the type of marbles made by the majority of makers. Along the way you will figure out what draws you in and what doesnāt. MK is still in business š„ RAR

I donāt know who posted that but they are NUTZ! They obviously donāt collect MKās š„ RAR

Has anyone else had this happen to them? I canāt be the only one hereš„ RAR

Hereās where they can make it right. I guess Iāll find out š„ RAR

Iām not going to do that. I could tell everybody itās you. They will read this thread. Itās not a trail. Iām not going to ruin someoneās reputation here. They can PM me if they wantš„ RAR

Hereās how one of my trades went down and Iāll try the keep it short. They saw an Opal I posted in Sundayās Best and sent me a PM in less then 5 minutes. They offered $40 and I said that was too much and Iād rather trade. So here we go. I sent them the Opal,2 Cosmetic Rainbows and cool Vitro Cats Eyes. I want a Pelt Red slag and descent Brick with some white in it. We exchanged pics and were happy with the trade. They got their marbles first and were extremely happy. Hereās what I got. They werenāt the marbles from the pics. Iām not going to call them out by name. But I hope they open this threadš„ RAR

Bob Block is obviously solid and EBay isnāt. I canāt remember who MP ā04 is but hereās one of their Guineas. I won it easily because it was fake for $25 verse a $300 Guinea. At least I didnāt pay $300 plus. But I didnāt know it was a torch made marble. Unfortunately there have been some that have paid the $300 for one like this. š„ RAR

It was easier to follow Sellers because there werenāt as many in early EBay days as there are today š„ RAR

Shill Bidders are the other people that use to be tracked and see if they are attached to other auctions. It was usually someone with little auction wins working with the Seller. At least thatās what I have encountered with some auction š„ RAR

I also saw members post EBay auctions a day ahead of when the auctions were over and asking for advice on bidding and what the high dollar bid might be. I use to call it Board Casting an auction. When they lost and cried about losing the auction they didnāt realize some of us were bidding on that marble as well. I learned early to just watch the auction count down and see how it pans out. You either overpaid, broke even or scored. Youāre only plugging someone elseās auction if you do this and making that auction stand out. š„ RAR

Itās the Golden Turd auctions that are brutal when you fall for the polishing of the Turd. There used to be a Thread in General called the Golden Turd. You would post auctions that were total chicken sh!t when you found auctions on EBay like the above. It takes a lot of policing but we use to do itš„ RAR
