I thought I would share photos of my most active marbles under florescent light here , the yellow / clear one on the left is an Akro Lemonade . The two on the top right are Corkscrews, I'm not sure what the blazing shooter mib is - but it's screaming yellow under the UV light ! I have a few Popeyes that glow orange on the yellow colored swirls.

Thanks Steph for your insights ! very appreciated

Upon further in-hand inspection ,I can clearly see the tail on about half of these as I follow the swirl around the marble , fascinating !

Thankyou Steph for your help ! Love this lot , the colors are fabulous!

Thankyou for your informative reply Steph ! I will quarter turn that lineup of 6 and take photos , then quarter turn again for a back photo. I’m curious now to see if they are hand gathered ! I believe “hand gathered” means that each gob was hand gathered one at a time from a punty , then cut to size and dropped into the roller ?

Hi all, I got this bunch of colorful vintage pastel marbles today. At first I thought they were Marble Kings but I'm not so sure. Maybe just the odd green/black/red one is ? I need experienced eyes ! Please let me know what you think , thankyou !

Hi all ! , I got three new lots today from a local , super nice price and mibs are in amazing condition. I would like to get help looking at the first lot. The blues are an out-of-this-world deep blue . I don't think the lighting was right to really see it .Anyway I think I have a bunch of Christensen slags here . They are definitely machine made, please tell me what you think . I picked out what looks like the 9's first Thanks !

I just did a websearch on Cairo Novelty Company, interesting story and quite possibly what this marble is. Thanks !

Thanks Steph for your help ! I think I understand now that : a "slag" has a transparent base with an opaque white swirl inside the core of the marble , interesting !

Hi all ! I picked this up yesterday. Here’s a vintage marble that looks like a left handed Turkey Swirl . Could it just be a happy accident? Maybe an Akro slag ? It’s in great condition. Thanks for any replies!

Peltier peerless it is 👍

Good eye Craig ! That was one of the few oddballs in my entire lot. A real busted up marble with a translucent aqua blue base and a perfect corkscrew winding all around it. I’m not sure who the maker would be but it’s a good candidate for a rock tumbler treatment imo .

Aha Vitro makes sense .OK thanks Steph !
-
Ok thankyou for the Peltier Rainbow tip ! Yes the other two on the bottom are Corkscrews . maybe I'll make a separate thread for the purple , and odd blue...thankyou !

Wow great stuff Steph ! Thanks for your help !

It seems very dense , nothing whispy about this marble . the most noticeable fieldmark on it is : the edge where the black meets the white is extremely defined , real sharp border between the colors . Also , one pole has a pretty distinct "V" the other pole has a v as well but a little more like a "U"

Hi all , Can anyone help ID this guy ? I got him at the flea market two weeks ago and I'm stumped. it's a standard marble size.... Thanks for any help !

Hi all ! Iv'e separated the blues out from today's lot that I bought . Some of the marbles have a milky blue base color . Can anyone help to ID them ? Thankyou !
-
The three at the bottom of the photo have an uninterrupted corkscrew line.

Hi all ! Iv'e separated some marbles out by color from today's lot . These are the reds, and are generally the same condition and swirly style. Can anyone help to ID them ? Thankyou !
-
for the black and white patch : there's no Aventine to it . I bought the whole lot for $50.00 , maybe a little steep, but I had to have those Popeyes !
-
OK thanks for the ID help ! I don't have a black-light but yes the black and white marble is a little different from the others , the white color on it is slightly different ,and there's more wear to that marble. I don't have a black-light so I will have to pick one up... thanks !
