I'm just curious, being a novice at this and not very familiar with Heatons and Cairos of which I probably unknowingly have in my boxes... Are there any characteristics that shout out Heaton and Cairo? From the ones that are pictured, it looks like the swirls are somewhat thick and they loop around. I notice that perhaps some of the swirls may loop so closely that they look more tear drop shaped. Also, the base doesn't look densely opaque (if that makes sense). Just wondering if any of these do in fact make one suspect that a marble is a Heaton or Cairo. Thanks!
Thank you WVRons! I guess even in the world of marbles things are constantly being updated. It's what makes marble collecting interesting for me- the discovery and the discussion that comes out of such a seemingly simple toy.
Thank you WVRons! I was thinking that the one that I thought was an Alley might come back as a Vacor. Now that you ID'd it as an MK for me, I can see the patch!
Hey William, Sorry to hear about the news. But, I'm glad that you caught things in time! The things that doctors can do these days are amazing! I will be rooting for you and a quick recovery! With an attitude like yours, cancer doesn't have a chance! Take care!
Hi Everyone, Just got these two in a bag of marbles and I'm wondering what they are. I've seen the color combo in the first one before, but can't remember where look (.95"). The second one (.90") looks like a Vitro. Thanks for your help!
Hi Everyone, I found some boulders the other day and wondered, aside from the first one, the other marbles are just under 1". So are these all boulders? Also, thinking-- Vitro, Vitro, Alley, MK, MK, Vacor. Thanks for your help!
Never thought about the similarities. Just wondering, could it be that the exotic doesn't have veneered patches and the Tiger Eye patches are veneered?
😭! Just kidding. It's a cool looking marble and so different from the other Jabos that I have. So I'm keeping it. Thanks WVRons and Da Roberto. And thanks again Ric, Fire1981, and Akroorka, for your help as well!
