I like your advice Steph!! Sometimes when I'm looking at my marbles my brain starts to overthink. When I let it sit where it may, things start to focus and where the marble often does begin to look "at home" or out of place.

Great conversation pieces, that Elvis and the Marilyn marbles! Cool!

Didn't mean to leave this one dangling. Sorry. Here is a photo of it lit up. Now I'm thinking it is probably a Vitro. The "wave" is giving me a Vitro feel. Thanks!

OMG! I just reread this today, 4.29.22 and what you said about the seams being perpendicular. What I'm hearling Ric say is if the seams are on the opposite sides of the marbles and if you placed those angles next to each other, they'd be facing opposite of each other, which is more common in Vitros? I'm probably not hearing it right. Just trying to clarify this in my muddy brain. LOL. Thanks!

Amazing what and where you can find things now days! Lychee! And so fun to sip!

Hi Everyone, Just thinking that this is a really old Vitro or a really new "something". The colors are so strong. A nice tangerine and blue over a translucent white base that may also have some clear glass. It is .60". I'm hoping that it is old and not new. Thanks for your input!

LOL! Still can't get these right. I should have known though since the seams on the first two didn't really look convincingly like an Akro. The last one does have an unusual color combo as well. Any wild guesses on the third? Thanks!

I marked up my photo to show what I'm thinking. (They say a picture is worth a thousand words. LOL.) Sorry, my finger blocked the view of the marble as I drew the lines so they may be a bit sloppy.

The last one looks like it didn't make it through the machine well. So the seam is not as clean as the first two. So the "90 degree angle" is not as strong. Thanks for the help Da Roberto and Ric!

Sorry, I was looking at the one at the bottom of the photo.

Just wondering, what is that orange, blue, and white marble in the foreground? I have something that looks like that.

Hi Everyone, My first question is, "Are these marbles Vitros?" These patches remind me of those found on the red patch of a Vitro All Red where there are somewhat 90 degree angles at the seams. If these are Vitros, my second question would be, "Is this "look" specific to Vitros?" From what I have, it seems to be. (But, I'm not certain that these are Vitros, so I might be barking up the wrong tree.) Thanks for helping me through my need to find patterns. Yikes!

Thanks for the clarification!

Good to know. Right now I can log in using both your links, but they both still appear as not secure. I guess it's not totally complete yet. Thanks again!

How'd you figure that out?! Thanks a million!

Patty must really love you to let you keep that in the house.🤣🤣🤣😱✌️

I'm having the opposite problem. I was trying to get to Joes Marbles but kept getting redirected to Marble Connection.

Hello Everyone, Wondering if I have three Akros and a Vitro here. The sizes from left to right are .61", .60", .60", and .61". Thank you!

Thank you for the information WVRons! I have it bookmarked and am constantly reading through it. There is so much information. I've read through it many times, and the longer I collect and learn, the more I understand what I am reading. Thanks to all of you!

Would that little pop in the yellow patch make it a PPP?

Hi Ric, Thanks for letting me know about the edit and for the info on Cairos and Heatons. I'm going to go back into my box of Alleys and WV Swirls to see if I can find those patterns. I really appreciate your help!
-
Thanks Chad! And thanks for the link! I will definitely check it out!

Hurray!!! It just kind of looked like a Vitro so I figured I'd check it out later. I was reading a link that someone shared about Vitros (https://www.tapatalk.com/groups/mibzandmore/vitro-agate-id-guide-t35.html) and thought it could probably be one of those trilites that got all twisted, but couldn't figure out what subcategory it could have belonged to. What a more than pleasant surprise to find out that it is a Peltier Lemon Lime Citrus!!! Thanks everyone!!! Made my day as I haven't had much time to spend with my marbles lately and haven't done much hunting. Also, please let me know whom I should give credit to for that great write up on Vitros. I couldn't seem to find the author of it. Thanks again!

Ravenswood would be a a nice surprise! As for the Heaton, just curious (as I don't have many of them) is that puzzle piece like lobe a characteristic of a Heaton? I have a few yet to be identified marbles that also have those interesting twists.

Hi Everyone, Just looking through my box of unidentified marbles and came across these three random ones. All looking Alley to me (or at least WV Swirls?). What do you think? The first is .62", the second is .59", and the third is .61". Thank you!
