  1. Looks foreign to me, maybe Vacor ??
  2. I use a single 500k 20w daylight bulb for lighting indoors, I prefer by far natural sunlight. Here's a cheap lighting setup from the AAM forum bought mostly @ your local hardware store or Walmart. Ernesto (MRCOM) takes some of the best mib pix I know of, you won't believe how simple his setup is when you see it "Have Fun Melissa" LINK :: https://www.allaboutmarbles.com/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=46681
  3. For a neutral background I use either a dark grey felt or a light grey felt cloth, whatever works best w/ the particular mib & a suitable rubber "O" ring to hold it in place (if needed) There are exceptions where I'll use black or white foam but very rarely, sometimes it takes a number (alot) of retakes w/ different colored backgrounds but eventually I hopefully get there. Ah the wonders of modern digital photography, in other words it's a good thing I'm not relying on film or I'd be picture poor ....
  4. Vitro agate guide : Same, Same, whichever downloads quicker for you they're both the same guide and pictures. 5. Yes !! We have touchdown Brad, this is why you don't see any pictures of off colored comics in my collection, almost 30 years and still no "lucky happenstance"

    Peltier?

    x3, seeing all 4 pelt rainbo's
  7. The purple and white is a slag, probably Akro
  8. x2, all 3 Vacor serpents
  9. I'm in for #'s 3 & 4 bieng PPP's
  10. A Master (blizzard) for this "Sunday's Best, i.e. filled w/ a myriad of kiln brick, and air bubbles.
  11. Like the new avatar Melissa
  12. (weak) CAC striped opaque IMO, no slag
  13. You said it "The war zone" 💥 💥 💥
  14. Not positive but I'm thinkin Jabo ?
  15. I just looked @ Joes pic and it says "Opal game marble" maybe it's opalescent though I can't tell from the pic. All the Akro "Fire opals" i.e. flinties I've seen have fish eyes but then again I don't collect them ?? Nice diggs William I'm sure a good discussion on the matter will ensue.
  16. Rainbo, translucent base, closer
  17. I thought "Opal" was a Vitro name William ??
  18. I just added a link so you can take a look @ the different bases on an inky, sorry about being pokey. Ade bases react to uv light (Glow) inkys do not. The pic I added is just backlit to show the base color.
  19. All above are all regular Rainbo's, once you have an inky in hand you'll never forget it. Generally the muddier the better as far as desirability goes. Here's one from feebay w/ a backlit shot showing the "muddy" base. As Ric said color can vary quite a bit between light and dark, a link showing some dark and light based inkys.
