x2, Vitro -
Would this be considered to be a Bifurcated Rainbo?
Chad G. replied to NeozLilBallz's topic in Marble I.D.'s
Not a bifurcate, just a Rainbo, bifurcated marbles demonstrate two different colored base glasses This NLR is a Bifurcate, one half green & the other half of the base yellow. -
100% Pelt NLR Tiger

Agree, Pelt Rainbo

It is a little off but I'm gonna stick w/ Peltier Multi Color Swirl (MCS) IMO as I can't think of anything else to go in any other direction with ?? -

What a whopper man @ over 1.5" !! I have a completely undamaged and unpolished mint one @ 1&5/16ths" , any banded lutz mint or otherwise, over an inch is VVHTF the big hits in this one look very borderline as far as totally wiping out the mib, I don't think I'd attempt to have it polished myself, if all the damage was removed you'd have nothing left, just a minimal polishing will obliterate the pontils. If I planned on buying it I'd leave it as is myself, just to much damage IMO. Of course I'm not a fan of polishing, all on you Brother, a matter of perspective. Here's a couple shots of the one I have, I had to wait a while but sooner or later it presented itself. You can still see the faint tool marks right on the light reflection in the second pic, never touched, plus the pontils are completely intact w/ some slight fold marks @ either end near the pontils. This marble wasn't cheap but I guess you get what you pay for ?? As far as a price on the one for sale, I wouldn't pay much but that's just me !! -
.... .... Yeah Buddy !! I see some faint concentric rings from the finishing tool on the surface of this this one as well, nice ...
-
Perfect Brother, just what I expected to see, and av in one of the others as well ?? You certainly got your moneys $$ worth this time, the single one w/ the heavy av is worth double what you paid for all 3 IMO

IMO means (In My Opinion) I put it there because I'm not positive about the ID, waiting for others to weigh in for a general consensus. Almost forgot "Welcome to Marble Connection Chad" ....... ..... A great place to be !! -

Trying to start an AV manufacture & or artist ID forum. If you have any mibs that you suspect as having aventurine in them please post a pic w/ the manufacture or artist if ya know it. A Pelt and an unknown contemp. to start. Peltier Tiger under natural sunlight Same mib artificial light Contemporary w/ aventurine & lutz, unknown artist The signature & date, 08 is all I'm sure of so as of yet I don't know who the artist is ??

100% not polished or buffed, untouched IMO, I can still see the faint marks left on the surface of the marble by the finishing tool , you got some great marbles Brother, "WOW" one even has av. "fantastic" definitely a VVVHTF keeper, that or any amount of av in a coat is very rare, great vid man, even shows visible concentric finishing tool marks in several places on the surface of the marble, exactly what I was looking for & would expect to see on an untouched surface Here you can still see the faint reflection of the finishing tool marks in the biggest light reflection !! Man what a killer coat !!! Cha Ching $$$ Top of the top shelf as far as Joseph Coats go, congratulations Brother Can you post a few shots of these back or underlit to show the passage of light through & between the colored ribbons ??

Please post any pictures of your favorite Contemporaries & the artist if you know who it is, even if you don't know who it is a good pic of the signature & date may give others the clues they need for a positive ID. I'll post one by David Salazar to get things rolling, this one he calls (called) "Angel Fish" also leaving a link in case you are interested in anymore of his glass work. David's been doing this for nearly 50 years so a very well known & seasoned artist. LINK : https://salazarglass.com/

"Happy Slags & Swirls Saturday" This was one of my favorite marbles, I decided it was time to pass it on and share it's beauty w/ a fine marble Brother, a contemporary rendering of a Tiger w/ some gold lutz swirled in.
