  15. Finally ID as a "Vidrio" fan base by a member of the AAM board, I lugged this thing around for over 15 years not knowing what it was ?? Vidrio was also responsible for making many of the "Glass Gear Shifter Knobs" they collect or use on Hot rods now. There has never been a "gear shifter" knob dug @ Akro or one published anywhere in any type of Akro provenance paperwork, therefore I assume Akro never made any, though may call them Akro gear shift knobs (probably because of the corkscrew pattern visible on so many examples ?) Back to the fan base. I left a link to the (AFCA) Antique Fan Collectors Association site complete w/ a history of the Vidrio Company.
