    We have a winner on the box. Best condition I've ever seen, the price was a bit low IMO but considering the economic times someone got a very nice example.     I think you're right to doubt, Alley swirl to me, no ghost, I think yours is opaque base ?? Ghost is translucent base

    Looks like clay IMO, probably fired ?? The reason for the glass like sound when tapped together ?? I have seen them before but can't quite put my finger on what they belong to ??
